During the "always close but no cigar" years the Raiders owned us. That always stuck in my craw. Now that we're no longer good they can't beat us anymore. Which is preferable? I don't know.

Todays victory over them was nice but my Fav. Raiders game was when Jay dove into the endzone to win.

the one in '02 when sutain one-handed the INT to win the game was the best, imo
yeah that was a good game and the pick to end it was unbeleivable

I was at that game too. First game after the 9/11 attacks. One of Jay's better moments.

What period are you referring to as the "always close but no cigar" years? We've been kicking the Raiders' butts pretty regularly since JJ came in. I recall the playoff blowout loss, but we've owned their azz in regular season.

Pre-JJ, Shula. Unfortunately, I was too young to understand what was going on when we actually won the Super Bowl.
