It depends on what he does with the rest of his career. Playoff success is usually a strong point in the discussion(no matter how fair it is, it does play a factor) and Taylor hasnt been on teams with it.
The current belief with Kurt Warner is he is not a hall of famer, despite leading 3 teams(well 2 teams, but 3 trips to the superbowl) to the superbowl and winning 1. It is because he had a gap in his career where he had very little success. With JT its kinda the opposite, he has had sustained personal success but very very little team success.
Alot also depends on when he retires, how many others are going to be eligible. Last year Shannon Sharpe got denied to the hall of fame despite having 3 superbowl rings and breaking countless tight end records.
If Taylor were to retire right now, at the end of this year, would he be a hall of famer? eventually, possibly 25 years from now. Would he be first ballot? absolutely not.
