Is any actually surprised about Henne's poise

Henne needs to continue to grow each and every week. He still missed some passes that he should've had last night but hopefully those things will get ironed out and he will be even better. He looked poised and the Jets didn't rattle him.

lol what? he completed 22 of 26 vs one of the leagues best defenses, including many 3rd down passes in the face of a ridiculous pass rush.

lol some people cant be pleased.

i wouldnt say i was surprised but boy was i happy!! he may have saved our franchise if he was a failure we would be screwed..

I think there was one to fasano he overthrew but i think that was the drive he hit ginn so its ok....

but i think them allowing him to pass early against both the jest and the jills allowed him to have confidence in himself and i think he will have us in shock and awe far more often then we will be saying WTF.

There a still some growing pains i am sure....but i think the year under his belt and combining his natural abilities to make every throw and having a gun with the understanding that 6 yards is better than forcing the ball that he got from Penny. I think his management style of teh game with his ability to make all the throws makes him dangerous.

I mean he had a few like zip line 15+ yards routes and throws which he made look easy and of course the huge throw to ginn was a thing of beauty.

This is from an April 18 2009 thread post:

Read enough of this strand to piece my opinion together......Look.. Pennington did a solid job for us. But as I followed the team I felt the offensive game plan was limited by his physical limitations while at the same time the O coaches were brilliant in properly scheming to his strengths. We were fundamentally conservative, we rushed the ball effectively occasionally and Penny made some good plays in the passing game but the wildcat was a one trick pony that gave us a lot of impact plays we will have to "replace" in 2009 because teams will be better prepared for it.
Just think of Big Ben, Rivers, Cutler and other playmaking young QBs that have the big arm. I appreciate every thing Penny did for Miami in 2008 as much as anyone, but I have to admit that Raven playoff game was a big time sobering reminder of what I never liked about Chad on the down side. Providing Henne shows the anticipated continued improvement this summer I am fine with him being the starter in September. You like to have the big body with the big arm back there at QB, a solid banger running game behind a power O line and a solid if not great D to get you to the Final Four and earn the shot at the Lombardi trophy ! Every year you have to make it happen in the NFL. Long time planning has become DO IT NOW.

Had a feeling about all this .....good to see it working out

What I actually noticed from Henne is how comfortable he began to get as the game wore on. He seemed to gain confidence and by the time it was the 4th qrtr he was in a a league of his own.

I'm guessing the game slowed down for him.

I found it pretty ridiculous when the media was making it seem like Sanchez was the more experienced of the two QB's just because he had four starts compared to one for Henne even though Chad is in his second season and started four years of college while Sanchez only played one year.

I am impressed with Henne's poise in the pocket. Give our oline some credit to give CH some time to make all the reads. I would like him to start making his own defensive reads out there and make changes on the fly, but that will come in time I am sure.

That pass to Ginn is what I have been waiting for....well....since....Marino.

I only see good things ahead for this team.
