Me and my brother were conflicted on this. He is a Rams fan, but he said he thinks he should be wrecking more havoc and getting home like Bosa did on Sunday with all that money he is making now.

Do you think the value matches the production?

Too early to tell........ Are you watching tape? Or just going by sack numbers when making your assessment?

I expected more but to be fair in 4 games he has 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

The last two weeks he played against Williams who is probably the best LT in the league (1 sack) and Tunsil before that (1 sack, FF).

His first game was against the Bears with a running QB. Remove that game and his stat line over 3 games is pretty good.

Regarding the OP’s comparison to Bosa, who was Bosa going up against? Guys who will be unemployed in a few months.

We need Phillips to continue developing. He’s the one that can play closer to that Bosa tier of player. We’ve seen it with his pass rush win rate the last 6 weeks. Having a very solid #2 edge like chubb should have us set at edge for the next several years.

He’s playing fine. He got a big contract because he was due for one. He’s not of Nick Bosa’s caliber but Bosa’s salary will obliterate Chubb’s when he’s extended. He’s had some good pressures and has been solid IMO. The contract stuff is all about timing right now.

Since he has been with the Dolphins (minus his first game) he has had 2.5 sacks in 3 games in a new system and teammates. That's almost a sack a game, plus stripped the ball a couple times, even though they were recovered by the other team. As a team, over the same 3 games ,we have had 12 sacks compared to 17 total in 9 games.

I know he is a good all around player, but I would like to see more impact plays (either by him or as a results of him drawing double teams and Phillips making the play).

I feel like we should be hearing his name more often TBH.

Horrible scheming by Boyer. I don't know why anyone else can't see it.

He couldn't call plays when Flores was here, and we had a great pass rush then with the same players, but any time he would take over the defense looked just as lost during those years. Now we just get abused time and time again and can't get to the QB. He is the reason the defense has taken a step back. Undoubtedly.

You mean in his first three games where he was picked up midseason and is still learning the playbook and the levels of accountability of his co-defenders? It isn't Madden. Human beings need a little knowledge and familiarity to play at their highest level. He'll continue to ascend. Just not at the rate of your evidently ridiculous expectations.
