First of all, I'm not sure what to think our our OC, Clyde Christensen.
But here is a fun stat, in the 4 games before Andy Reid gave up Play calling, Chiefs were 1-3 and average 300 yards a game and 16 points. Since then, they are 3-1, average 29 points a game and 421 yards
Alex Smith went from a 78.7 Passer Rating in the prior 4 games to 105.3. Finally, Kareem Hunt had 60 carries for 173 yards and 11 catches for 59 yards and no TDs. After, he had 87 carries for 402 yards and 3 TDs and 17 catches for 11 and a TD

Gase LOVES calling plays

As a head coach, he has far more to think about then just offensive plays.

I am a huge Gase fan, but for the better of the team, he needs to stop calling plays, tell his coordinators what he wants of each, then stand back, and allow his coordinators to do their job.

While this worked in KC, that has no bearing on whether it would work for us. Is our OC any good at it? Would Gase be a better overall coach without this duty? No idea, but don't let KC's situation mean we should do it.

I am 110% behind Adam Gase and his play calling.

I am 120% behind Adam Gase's play calling when Ryan Tannehill is my QB.

There is no hot seat in Miami, just useless hot takes.

Yes!

Guys are open. Plays are there to be made, and this likely isnt even the full offense

I was against it but see chances on O that would be there with a solid qb. I think our O is ok, our D needs a makeover. PS. We need a solid #2 qb, Moore need to take up caddying.

Some head coaches call the plays on their team: Andy Reid (Chiefs), Sean Payton (Saints), Doug Pederson (Eagles), Sean McVay (Rams), Jay Gruden (Redskins), Bruce Arians (Cardinals), Kyle Shanahan (49ers), and Bill O'Brien (Texans).

If they do a good job and believe in themselves to be able to balance everything then I've no problem with Case calling his plays. It's his offense so let him do it. If he fails because of that then that's on him for not delegating.

Andy Reid recently gave up the play calling.

Here's another fun stat:

* Ryan Tannehill passer rating at 100 or higher

With Bill Lazor at offensive coordinator -- 9 times in 27 games

With anyone else calling plays -- 8 times in 50 games

Play calling is not an issue. Anyone saying anything different is not watching the games.

yeah but if he is on the hot seat in 2018, things will change

It is very doubtful that he will be on the hot seat. I do not believe that giving up play calling is inmthe interest of the team.

Gase was hired because of his play calling and offensive coordinator work in Denver/Chicago. If he stops doing the one thing that he excels at then he is a dead man walking. Andy Reid has been a HC for almost 20 years so it’s a bit different. I do think that Gase’ s play calling has been subpar this season but he must continue to call plays because if he doesn’t, then why is he here?

I would like to think if he stopped calling the plays he has evolved into a Head Coach and managing all facets of the game. That would also mean he has someone he feels confident in calling the plays.
