I haven't heard who is gonna start this week. It looks like Gus is taking the snaps with the first team. It just doesn't make sense to me to start Gus. He is not our future. Feeley may not be either, but we need to find out. His play improved last year at the end of the season. If we could give him a decent o-line, maybe he could put some drives together.

Now all the Feeley bashers can chime in.

Gus should start because he knows the offense, and he is doing as good or better than the incumbant, Feeley. IMO, they should go with Gus so that they can get comfortable with eachother on offense. Until Feeley can beat out Gus on a week to week basis, they are the same. Gus is comfortable with the offense, so he wins. He should get the reps and start UNTIL AJ proves him wrong.

Actually, with the way our line is playing, it doesn't matter who starts the season, the backup is probably going to finish it, or even the backup's backup.

I dont get all this "we need to find out" stuff. Do you not take the coaching staffs word for it? If Feeley was really the best option, dont you think the coaches would make him the starter? They watch him in practice everyday. He worked with the first team throughout most of the training camp. They have compared him with all the other QBs in camp.

Or are you not satisfied until you see AJ Feeley suck on a consistant basis throughout the entire regular season?

There is an old saying I am reminded of... "you can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a bull's arse, but Id rather take the butchers word for it."

So in other words, let the coaching staff- who has years of professional experience and gets paid millions of dollars, make the decision on who is the QB. Because chances are, t hey know what they are doing.

They are sticking with Gus after his one performance in Jax. They are looking for consistency at this point in terms of not wanting a repeat of the QB flip-flop last year. There is so little difference in each QB's current productivity that Feeley will have to keep playing this well in practice and in 2nd half of Tampa game in order to get another shot. Saban and all the reports say Feeley was looking better since his Pittsburgh game. He probably just needed that push from another potential starter.
