Stop thinking today and think tomorrow! The only difference between an 8 win team and a 5 win team is better draft picks. Don't give me that crap about how you don't need high picks for good drafts. While true, higher picks gives you a much better chance at a good draft especially when your talent evaluators are sound.

We are not THAT far away. We need a couple more good drafts and free agent signings to undo what the past has done.

Don't get frustrated....I really don't see how you can after last year.

Oh, forgot to mention, Roy is making the difference in Big D. I wish we would have given up our draft like Jerry. The Trifect is so dumb.

Oh and by the way Roy was only in for a handful of plays and also your right April can't come soon enough....Spring Training baby!!!!!!!!

If you are asking me in my orginal post in regard to the trifecta, yes...

As far as spring training goes, just sit back an watch the Phillies win it all! Meet the Phils, Greet the Phils...

The difference in 8 wins and 5 wins is better draft picks???????? When did this happen? Can you explain to me why it is then that despite winning every year the Cheatriots seem to get better picks than we do in the draft??????????????????

I hate stupid posts like this. Just because you pick earlier in the draft in no way guarentees you better picks. Its all about who you take. For instance, despite selecting 3rd, the Falcons got the best pick in the whole draft. Only because BP didnt have the balls to take Matt Ryan. He sure as hell had the boobs though. When will BP finally get himself a "bro"?

Anyways, you dont root for losses just to select earlier in the draft. For one thing, its more money, and secondly, its all about who you take, not when you select.

As orginally stated - higher picks gives you a much better chance at a good draft especially when your talent evaluators are sound.

Higher picks also give you more options...to trade down, accumulate and get more young players.

If the team is not going anywhere...unless you think that we are...then I want to win but I don't let the losses bother me because they actually help our long term goal better than short term wins.

Remember Miami winning 6 in a row at the end of the year under Saban? Did that carry over to the following year? Um...wait...let me scratch my head OH HATER OF POSTS LIKE THIS...the answer is no.. Oh...and did we draft Jason Allen at pick 16 or something when when nose tackles that we desparately needed/wanted went a few picks ahead of him? Dome to think of it, I think we wanted Cutler who went like...well....lets see...5 picks before we did. Um....let me scratch my head OH HATER OF POSTS LIKE THIS...the answer is yes.

You are so smart. I will not post anymore since you hate them.

True earlier picks don't guarantee better players, but they do increase the odds of selecting a better prospect, given proper due diligence.

DogBone....that is awfully stupid of you to say that... :d-day:

Oh...and as for the Matt Ryan and Jake Long debate, if we are going to grade them now on performance, while Matt Ryan was a grand slam, Jake Long was still a home run. I will not argue that a franchise QB is greater than a franchise OLT but we have the later so deal with it. Our franchise QB who is better than Ryan is on our bench.

Whoops...sorry...this is a stupid post and I said I wouldn't post anymore. I HATE when I do that.

True. In hindsight those wins were really really not worth it.

Talent is talent no matter where you pick. You just need to pick correctly. The NFL draft is not a 10 player star draft. Their is talent throughout the draft. I agree with WVdolphan in that the best player in this years draft resides in Atlanta. Good job Trifecta!
