To think that the teams play these past games is a setup for the Bills game? And that theres gonna be a new playbook for a strong finish, including tmrws game. He is also going to dial up the run game, because thats what we NEED in order to win the game.

Think about it. 49ers had a gameplan that "exposed our Offense" and MM didnt do anything to adjust, all the way through the LA game. Our receivers were bumped and timing was off, but there was no doubt they didnt look the same even their expressions on their faces were different. Again, You would think MM would change it up, but he didnt. Our recipe was not made to beat SF, or even LA. But he is building a recipe to beat the Bills.

If you ask me, hes either dumb or hes playing a good chess match. Who knows Maybe this bills game is circled for a Fin highlight game, where now the odds are totally against us.

Seems a bit too Hollywood to think we had the guts to dump two games to sneak up on Buffalo. But, f it. I’ll go along in the hope that we win.

Not necessarily dumping games but maybe looking ahead?? But yes i totally agree its also hollywood like lol, hey the NFL can be weird too

I don't think so and in the 49ers game Tua missed a bunch of throws. It's not like the 49ers exposed anything. There were receivers wide open in that game. In the Chargers game they played very physical against our receivers and McDaniel didn't adjust his playcalling.

Agreed tua missed a bunch of throws, i was at that game. But he was rattled somewhat, like he wasnt himself. Alot to do with the absence of Armstead of course.

I don’t think the 49ers exposed anything, if Tua makes the throws he had been making all year he likely throws for over 400 yards and 4 TD’s. The Chargers are the first defence to actually shut down the offence and it’s because they sold out to stop the middle, the flats and outs were wide open and we didn’t use them or Tua refused to.

I don’t think McDaniel has been hiding anything with Buffalo in mind, it’s just the offence didn’t execute the last 2 weeks. People have short memories and are forgetting that this was probably the best offence in the league before the 49ers game, we can definitely win tonight.

Occams Razor: when you have two competing theories that make exactly the same predictions, the simpler one is the better.

so, was McDaniel holding back against SF and SD to lull Buffalo and the rest of the teams we play next into a false sense of security and is now going to open up this secret playbook or, could it be that we're just not that good?

short answer - yes

Wins are too precious in the NFL to throw away a game or two - unless you have a huge lead in your division and you want to rest starters, but that's a totally different scenario. We got beat by SF because Tua was off his game. It has nothing to do with the SF defense. To me, they did not play like the top D in the league. As others have stated, we had guys wide open all day long. Their coach even admitted they did not change their game plan to scheme against us. They just outplayed us.
The Chargers game was different. Tua was still off but the defense definitely changed their scheme and we could not or just did not adjust to it. It's that simple.

For tonight's game, McD better coach his ass off and get Tua's head on straight. We need all three phases of our team bringing their "A" game to win this one.

against SF Tua was bad, against LA the wr's were bad, in both the coaches failed to adjust the D allows 13 play scoring drives, there's no running game. They hit the rookie wall after climbing over a fence.

I am leaning towards, we really are not as good as some think. PA had a lot of starters out and one of the worst run defenses; they shut us down. Buffalo’s defense is significantly better and when was the last time we played good in the cold. Tonight is going to be ugly.

West coast trip taught us teams have no respect for the Fins OL.

Pass rush 4 and bumping underneath is supposed to get you killed deep by speedy WRs… in theory.

I don’t see that strategy changing with the Bills, especially in the elements.

McD needs to figure out how to pull another Browns running game out of his ass.~

Defend the middle of the field and Tua doesn’t have the arm to routinely make harder throws to the outside. And that’s in perfect conditions not below freezing when his worst games happen when temperatures go below 50 let alone 32

Snow is higher than Reek’s head…. This is what neutralizes speed. Miami needs to get a power RB in the future
