I watch other teams in the NFL run conventional run plays, we get stuffed every run unless its a wildcat, a fb dive, or a reverse. I watch other teams actually run routes to a WR, out-routes, drags, curls, slot crosses, and all we can run is little screens and occasionally a seam pass to the TE. It is very painful to watch, I really don't know how we score.

Does it matter? Matter of fact our offense is harder to run with all this misdirection, fakes and extra handoffs. I feel you need better skilled players to run some of the stuff we run. Plus its a must, we have small speedy recievers, we have two quality backs and a QB that is smart enough to run this offense. Its our style right now and I am pleased with it. Plus its fun to watch.

If we won the superbowl using the same plays would it be called trickery or genius? As a matter of fact that could be the question now. 1-15 vs 11-5

I think this will be essential to the Ravens game. Misdirection plays, 'trick' plays (I'd like to see more flee flicker plays), original stuff. You have to do this so the Ravens aren't teeing off on you every play, you have to keep them guessing every play, they are too talented to just run at them.

it's just you

not to mention it makes defenses prepare for our trick plays and devote less practice to our other stuff...either way...we get an advantage

Its only trickery if its unexpected. Teams know were gonna run the Wildcat, so if they have the intelligence they will plan for it and if they have the personnel, they will stop it. Most teams plan, but none successfully stop it.

A wildcat play doesnt always have to be an 80yd TD. As long as your gaining 4 yds or more every time its ran, Im happy. Just for reference, the Fins are averaging over 7yds per wildcat play.

I don't care who we snap the ball to, who throws the ball or who laterals who as long as good things happen for Miami.

Yeah, I can't argue. But considering the bad pass by Ronnie yesterday was about the only time all year the Wildcat looked "risky" I don't see what it matters. A few years ago running a spread offense was somewhat a gadget as well, now about 1/3 the teams in the league count on it. I'm sure if other teams felt their ballhandlers could handle the ball safely as Ronnie/Ricky/Bess/etc they would do it more.

i dont care if they're out there scratchin' their arses! just win!

I think its getting harder and harder to call them "trick" plays.
I don't think its tricks at all, I think its our offense. Use a lot of misdirection, fakes, reads, revereses. This is much similar to many college offenses, which many assumed would not work at the pro level. But, they are. We are capitalizing on the the unfamiliarity many pro defense have to these plays, because of lack of game experience.

We are putting the ball in our playmakers' hands and letting them make decisions. I don't think they are gadgets at all, we are making the most out of the few superstars we have on this team.

Personally, if they wanted to run Ted Ginn reverses 3 times a game and run the wildcat 20 times, I would not care. As long as at the end of the day, the Dolphins have a W, that's all that matters to me.

I just don t get how two RBs who played very well as just regular RBs for their whole careers can't get it done with simple handoffs, draws and sweeps
