Our offense has struggled somewhat this pre season, because behind closed doors we have spent alot of time practicing from the spread, spread options, and more variations on the wildcat, and this Vanilla stuff we have showed so far is nothing remotely close to what we use this season. I have a feeling Atlanta is in for a BIG SURPRISE come opening day.

Silence the critics!
Go Miami.

i agree with you...even the commentators including aikman was saying we do the wildcat best and how we arent doing it this game...everything we are doing is very strategic...the scarey thing is we managed to be undefeated in the preseason with the vanilla stuff...well this is for the haters who say we cant run a base offense...we havent ran it well but i think we made some strides with the running game..in game 2

i personally dont believe a vanilla type offense fits our player at all. our scheme is what makes this offense work.

I remember back in OTA's we heard of Ted Ginn throwing passes, Ricky Williams throwing passes, double reverses, and this type stuff, i have a feeling we are in for lots of Razzle Dazzle this season, exciting times they are a coming. Woot Woot.

Vanilla is the flav of pre-season. We know the WILDFIN is our deal and we know how to use it. Any special variations with it involving Ginn and White can be saved for the real thing as far as I am concerned. The only thing is that the run blocking up the middle in the running game, vanilla or not, could have improved this pre-season. Regardless, I have an overall good feeling about the offense.

I don't think there is any question we played a very, very limited playbook this pre-season. Let's just hope we've got the rest of our offense down and ready to roll come opening day.
