it could have been both but i think mueller had more to do with it.

like you said both but with Mueller doing the leg work. Saban simply doesn't know as much about the league yet to make certain acquisitions. This is exactly why Mueller was brought in though. Saban tells him what he needs, and based on Saban player evalution table (or whatever it's refered to as) Mueller goe out and gets them at the prices we can afford.

so far so good.

Mueller brought up the names...Saban approved it. NOTHING gets done without Saban's approval, just as it should be. All hail Saban!!

I actually have been wondering the same question myself. I also think that the signing of Frank Middleton was a combination of Mueller and Saban and possibly even Houck but I really don't know. Regardless, I felt that it was a really good signing that should help boost our Offensive Line.

i concur

I think Houck had some say in the signings on the Oline , and the shulters sign was Nick using his defensive mind , i just wish we would bring micheal barrow home now ,so he could come back home to south florida and tear it up one last time...like he did when he was with the University of Miami ( bcs champs in 2007-2008 )

Hmm... I thought it was just using common sense in acquiring a huge upgrade in our secondary, both in depth and talent.
