Is it time to trade Tyreek and Ramsey?

It’s too late. Their contacts are a hold up.

Way too much dead cap space.

What if Tua shits the bed next week?

Yeah that would kill any hope I have left.

The defense has played well enough that I still hold a sliver of hope pending the return of Tua.

Edit: I'm furious at this team right now though. They were put in a position to win yesterday and 3 of our Vets had critical errors.

Tua has played enough games for people to know he isn’t our problem, at least not from an ability stand point.
I know people are down on Tua because of injuries and lackluster production in important games, but he is one of the pieces the team needs to hold onto unless they're staring at a multi-pick offer. Teams do trade for guys like Tua and offer a couple of 1sts, etc., but with his injury history that is looking unlikely.

I think Miami needs to roll with Tua and also be thinking about a good young backup. They shouldn't be worried about a controversy at the position that would result from drafting a QB early or having a younger QB pushing Tua for the starting job. You deal with that "problem" when/if it happens.

Id trade Tyreek for a 1st rounder because he is the only player who might fetch a first, by a team like Seattle or the Chargers for example who may feel are on the cusp of winning and had drafted well to compete and have pieces in place.
Also, it's just not working out for Tyreek in Miami, he is not reaching his receiving goals, house burned down, cops/local government is on his arse, it's just not good here for him. We are also perpetually rebuilding and that's not good for a competing vet.

The dude had back to back 1,700 yard seasons.(Only player ever) Easily the best 2 years of his career. Also got paid again.

I'd say it worked out wonderful for him lol

I agree. Tua wasn't too blame for the Buffalo debacle, outside of his own decision to try to run over Damar Hamlin, which he did out of frustration because of his crappy teammates.

If anything, Tua deserves a much better franchise than this one.

1,700 is 1,700.

Every WR gets his fair share of terrible match ups each season.

Its just not that impressive when you look at his stats vs. good teams/bad teams. Its a pretty remarkable difference.

Putting up a bunch yards against the worst teams in the league really didn't do much for us. The only game in 2023 where his performance might've made a difference in the outcome of the game was the Cowboys game where he had 99 yards I believe, but it probably took 13-14 targets to do it. And really, the only reason we won that game is because Dallas made two huge gaffe's while at the 1 yard line, on two separate drives.

Also consider that he had 3 massive mistakes that really hurt us against the Eagles, Chiefs and Ravens. Two walk in TD's that were dropped and a fumble returned for 6 against his former team while we were driving to make it a game. The drop in the Eagles game was really big as we could've easily won that game if not for that drop.

So you can take solace in destroying all the teams picking at the top of draft if you want, for me those stats are very misleading.

The Bears could have an interest in Terron Armstead.

Chicago is going to the playoffs and they could use a better pass blocking LT than Braxton Jones. They'll be replacing him in the off season but for now, they could use another OT.

Caleb Williams has done a great job making his OL appear average, but they aren't.
