Is it time to trade Tyreek and Ramsey?

The bears are not going to want his contract

They don't have to take anything other than the remaining minimum salary the rest of this year, which would be about $700K at this point.

All the dead money tied into Armstead's contract we are on the hook for regardless as he's already been paid, Chicago could release him after the season with nothing owed to him.

No one is paying attention to Chicago because they have a rookie QB but I suspect they might make the biggest pre deadline trade. Caleb Williams isn't your average rookie QB given his elite skill set.

If one of these elite DL become available, Garrett, Lawrence, Simmons or Crosby, Chicago will be lurking. Everyone is talking about Detroit potentially adding a DL, I say pay attention to the Bears.

Giants, Titans, Raiders and Browns all need new QB's next year, all need draft capital, none are close to competing. Chicago should pounce. The Bears defense is really hard to score on. If they can add Dexter Lawrence or Myles Garrett to that group, look out.

I think Chicago should stay the course, their window isn't this year and they're in the toughest division in football at the moment.
They don't need to go all in this year.

Its just not that impressive when you look at his stats vs. good teams/bad teams. Its a pretty remarkable difference.

Putting up a bunch yards against the worst teams in the league really didn't do much for us. The only game in 2023 where his performance might've made a difference in the outcome of the game was the Cowboys game where he had 99 yards I believe, but it probably took 13-14 targets to do it. And really, the only reason we won that game is because Dallas made two huge gaffe's while at the 1 yard line, on two separate drives.

Also consider that he had 3 massive mistakes that really hurt us against the Eagles, Chiefs and Ravens. Two walk in TD's that were dropped and a fumble returned for 6 against his former team while we were driving to make it a game. The drop in the Eagles game was really big as we could've easily won that game if not for that drop.

So you can take solace in destroying all the teams picking at the top of draft if you want, for me those stats are very misleading.

You dove way to deep into it.

I was just saying I think it's all worked out well for Tyreek in Miami.

I don't think anyone is trading a 1st for Tyreek, Adams and Cooper just went for basically a 3rd. If the Dolphins lose next week, I'd pull the trigger if someone offered us a 2nd

Tua has played enough games for people to know he isn’t our problem, at least not from an ability stand point.

Agreed. These last few games have really shown that he is a special talent imo. But I do think that even he cant overcome the oline's deficiencies.

Given enough time to throw (and not throw quickly off one read) Tua can carve up defenses with the best of them.

I agree, generally speaking. They don't need to rush. But they have a lot of unique factors going for them that we didn't when we started to rebuild.

First off, they have one of the best 2 or 3 defenses in the league. They haven't given up more than 21 points since the middle of last season (12 straight games).

They have the best quartet of pass catchers in the league, Moore, Kmet, Allen and Odunze isn't really fair.

Caleb Williams is the most physically gifted QB in the league IMO and even though he's a rookie, any time the Bears take the field they have a chance because of his talent.

Lastly, the Bears have Carolina's second round pick, which is shaping up to be pick 33, 34 or 35 and their primary needs are all along the OL, so with the extra draft capital and $80M (in 2025) in cap space, they can do whatever they want.

There is absolutely no reason the Bears shouldn't try and knock the Lions off this year, especially given the Hutchinson injury.

Dexter Lawrence isn't even 27 yet, Maxx Crosby just turned 27 a month ago. These guys would align with Chicago's time line of taking advantage of Caleb Williams rookie contract. Myles Garrett being closer to 30 isn't ideal but that dude should still be a freak for the next 3-4 years.

I'd say the Bears are in a great spot because they don't have to do anything but they surely can get involved with any player they really want. Especially if Detroit is also after that player.

With the Commanders and Cardinals on deck, they could easily be 6-2. Not that beating Washington is going to be easy, Jayden Daniels is awesome as well but that rib injury yesterday might be an issue in 6 days.

Ya as long as he isn't throwing to Grant Duboise, Robbie Chosen or Chase Claypool.

For me I'll remember the plays he didn't make more than the thrashing of the Broncos, Commanders, Giants and Panthers, in 2023.

Trade them all - we won’t because Grier and McD jobs are on the line but this is a busted season and roster. Time to start over. Total tear down.

I was thinking today about a possible trade with the 49ers. Grier and Lynch have worked out a trade before. Looks like Ayuk might be done for the season and SF is in a win now mode with a veteran team. Their window might be closing soon too. What about Hill to SF?

Don't look like this season will be worth it. QB questions means we may start over. No need keep past 30 WR and CB that can get us a few first round draft picks.
yep....and eat the dead cap.

Next year is DOA anyway due to the silly Tua extension that will we need to eat too.

I'm open to trade Hill at this point. We need a big WR in next year draft. Now Ramsey I'll be pissed if they trade him. He playing well the last 4 weeks.

I wrote a thread about this before the season implying this move and was told I was an Idiot. Time has always been a friend of mine.
