Is Josh Rosen, Not Baker Mayfield, The True Apple Of Adam Gase's Eye?

Unless the Dolphins are planning to move up in the draft, I don't think it makes much of a difference as none of these players will be there at 11 especially Rosen. IMO, Gase is not targeting a QB in round 1 at all.

Rosen is a much better fit for us in so many ways than Mayfield. I would be devastated if we draft Mayfield, but with Rosen I would be O.K with that, even if we had to trade up a little (hopefully not). I don't study these guys, but Rosen appears to be the most fundamentally sound and possibly the smartest QB in this class. He's also 2 years younger than Mayfield and his personality seems to mesh with Gase's pretty well (smart, arrogant) as opposed to Mayfield (hothead).

Wouldn't surprise me, but the question is HOW the Dolphins would move up to get their guy. Doubtful any are falling to 11.

And Gase better be right - because he was damn wrong about Cutler.

Agree completely.

If I had the No.1 pick, Rosen would be my pick.

If you told me I had a choice of Josh Allen, Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield for FREE, I would take Allen.

If you told me Ryan Tannehill wasn't going to miss a game over the next 5 years, I'd be happier than landing any of the above mentioned QB.

17 is my guy.

I hope not mainly because of what it would cost to move up to get him.

Secondly because everything I’ve read about his personality turns me off. I can’t even stand him in that “My name Is....” commercial he does for the NFL Network.

I agree with the above. I wouldn't be surprised if we pass on Mayfield to fill the hole we just created by cutting suh.

I honestly think Miamis taking a QB in the first 3 rds. I cant see Os being a comfortable backup to have without a decent contingency plan. Like its been said, the back up plan for QB last season was the worst Ive seen in some time...and thats like Cleo Lemon bad.

Why damn wrong? I wasn't happy about him being picked up, but it's not like the season would have turned out any better. It was a one year deal. It doesn't matter.

I feel like we are either getting Rosen,Mayfield or Falk in like round 3.

Rosen might drop due to all this Mora trash talk (i am hoping)

I don't see them drafting Mayfield @11, that's way too high for him IMHO.

Rosen is another matter completely.

If he fell to 11 I would mortgage my house that Miami signs him.

As for them trading up to get him, I don't know about that.

I would trade Wake to get Rosen 10 times out of 10 times.

It will be an exciting draft.
