I haven't seen him play. I am just wondering what his skills are and if he is fighting for a starting job at CB

I doubt he'll challenge for CB play, but he is an ace STer...very good...

In both major papers.

He's a supremly good special teams player

I was impressed with his play from the jags second team D. Not starter quality but a good dime-back and ST guy.

Who got cut to make room for him and is that person going to go on the practice squad seeing they only signed seven of eight spots available and thus have one to fill?
Enough questions for one sentence?

atkins i think was cut

He was on IR though so it didn't count as a roster spot. I'm not sure who was cut.

Thats my guess. I think thats why they havent named there 8th P.S. player yet. Its someone on the roster you got cut to make room for Thomas. They're waitng to see if he clears waivers so they can stash him on the P.S. My guess is it Eddie Moore.

He definitely will compete for playing time at CB, because we released Kris Richards and Mario Edwards. THis leaves us in a precarious situation with an aging vet in Madison, an under-achiever in Howard, a rookie in Daniels, and a recently acquired Eddie Jackson from Carolina who must assimilate himself in a new system. Look for Thomas to compete at least for a Dime spot.
