The Oracle
You throw to Reggie Bush, except the fact that we never have him in on redzone possessions, which makes no sense whatsoever considering he was the Saints' best redzone weapon. I think we threw to him a total of 1 time in the redzone, and he ended up scoring. Why did we even trade for him if we're not going to have him play on the parts of the field where he can help us the most? The offense has no creativity whatsoever. We're either running up the middle in the redzone, or throwing to Marshall.
Ok, what you are saying is instead of running Bush between the tackles, you want to use him in the passing game.
Well.
If you look at Bush's history he has not been a very good back running the football but he has become a very good pass catching back. He caught 88 passes last season and 73 in a 12 game season the year before.
One thing that gets me about us trying to run Bush between the tackles is that it seems that everyone in football including most fans believe that R Bush cannot run between the tackles. Once again, almost everyone in the media, everyone playing in the NFL, everyone working in any form with any football, most football players down to high school JV, most fans that cover football at all, including most Dolphin fans believe that R Bush is not effective running the ball between the tackles.
Yet we did it. And when it did not work, we kept doing it.
And I think also, most people would say that expecting the Dolphins to defeat the Jets using Matt Moore throwing to B Marshall against D Revis 12-15 times would not work.
Yet we did it. And when it did not work, we kept doing it.
Reggie Bush made a statement early this season that he was the feature back. The man.
Brandon Marshall made a statement last week that he was going to play like a "Monster" against the Jets (and try to get thrown out?).
And each time afterwards our Head Coach was asked about it. And both times he agreed and there were stories about how now R Bush would be a main back (did Sparano even know before it?) and there were stories about how B Marshall was going to destroy New York.
Who runs this team? The Coaches? The Players? The GM? The Owner?
Or is that part of the problem in itself?
