What about jake Scott, I have not seen that he signed yet...? With the pickup of Martin at RT do we still try and sign a fa guard? (and also find cap space). Or do we roll into TC with open comp for RG with Jerry, Murtha, Gardner?

O-line could be... Long-Incognito -Pouncey-Jerry-Martin

Or Long-Incognito-Pouncey-Scott-Martin

Also is Scott ideal for the zone blocking structure it appears we will have?
 
NO, but IMHO they are waiting to see how the guys on the roster respond in camp using a zone-blocking scheme. I think you will see turnover after they've sized up what they currently have on the field a bit. I'm sure some of the guys will adapt reasonably well while others will fall on their face.
 
we need guards bad. hopefully jerry will step up, he played well last year but it was a tackle. incognito is garbage, and rg is vacant
 
I still see the line

LT - Long
LG - Incog
C - Pouncey
RG - Jerry
RT - Martin

I think the Guard position will be greatly helped by having a stong out-in anchor with Long, Pouncey and Martin.
 
I hope Jerry can win one of the OG's spots and wonder if Derek Dennis can make the roster.

Being the most versatile IMO, Garner must be kept as a backup.
 
I would actually like to see Pouncey move to his natural position at LG. Incognito did well at center the time he played there. He could play there this season until they find a long term replacement at that position.
 
can't have pro bowlers at every spot on the OL but i would like to see upgrades at both guards or one of the younger guys step it up. Not the biggest incog fan either.
 
The only door that has probably revolved more than one entering and exiting QBs is the OL. I don't think OL will ever be complete.
 
Incogs isnt terrible, but he isnt all world either. He'll win most of his battles, I'm not to concerned with him, after this year though I'm sure they will be looking for a replacement...

RG is the spot i suspect to be wide open... Jerry, Murtha, Hicks, Dennis????? A part of me hopes incogs gets moved to RG and somebody else steps up for the LG position, because who ever is at the LG position will get lots of help just being sandwiched between Pouncey and Long.
 
Incognito is absolutely atrocious on the move with his cement feet and he will be exposed in the zone-blocking scheme the dolphins are going to.
 
Incognito isn't bad at LG, but we have a big fat gaping hole at RG. You don't need a superstar at every position on the online, but we still have no idea what Martin is gonna be at RT?
 
It's amazing how fans on here think Incrapito isn't bad. He is aweful. He is terrible at zone blocking. Everyone who is penciling him in as our starting LG is way off the mark. He will not be a starter in the new system. Did anyone actually watch him last year??
 
I hope they figure out the line situation fast so they stick to it and let them develop chemistry together. Not like Saprano and adjust the line the whole season long
