Do you guys think with Ross in as the new owner hell stick to being a "cheap" owner? I hope he doesn't put a budget on Tuna and Co. We havent even resigned one of our free agents. Let me know your input.

This is Pacells MO. For the most part if your not worth it, your not getting it. Im guessing their asking price is more than the FO thinks their worth. It's yr 2 of the project, overpaying for mediocre talent isn't part of the plan.

I dont' think W. Huzienga would have sold to Ross if he thought he was cheap or looking to cut corners where ever he could.

I understand that. I didnt state for us to go spend all of our money on these guys, take another look at the question. I asked if you guys think it has anything to do with Ross being somewhat of a penny pincher. Im sure goodman isnt asking for top money. With the top ILB in Dansby getting locked up, you wouldve expected a bit more movement. Im not saying lets sign Crowder for 10 million a year, but we only have so many draft picks, and i defenantly wouldnt feel comfortable with a 7th rounder being our mike backer

That's exactly what it is. So, don't put up some lame thread about how it's all of the sudden the new owner's fault.

ok then to answer your question, no I don't think it has anything to do with the owner. If the owner was telling Parcells he couldnt spend money however he wanted to he would already be gone.

I believe Ross already said the football side is Parcells to run as he sees fit.

If you look i was asking a question not accusing or blaming anyone. Im glad to get something other than a one word response other than your usual no.

To be honest the players salary cap is absolutely miniscule with respect to everything else. One nationally televised game probably gives Ross the $120mil for a maxed out cap.

You probably make more money brinding in a big name through jersey sales then what you pay him.

Ummm...Ross may own the team, but he made it clear that Parcells will run the team. Parcells will add parts his own way...not by adding big name superstars who care more about receiving their next paycheck rather than earning it.

Steven Ross is worth over twice the money Huizenga is. He has already said he wants a championship and will do whatever BP says we need to. BP is going to build us up with the draft. Just like he did in Dallas. Remember how pissed he was when Jerry Jones brought T.O in. What was he.... A high price older vet. We are doing exactly what BP wants.

Christ I dont know but I do know that you get what you pay for and we do need a few vets on this team I would hate to fill all our spots with rookies or second tier guys

silly post imo ... with all the parcells drama over the past few months u'd think we would all be very well versed in Ross's, Parcells, and Ireland's philosophies and realize who is responsible for the current FA situation ... geez
