if you're looking for the big play down field stretching the field &n giving the game another dimension, no
if your looking for leadership & managing the field i.e. efficiency, yes
right about now I bet there are a lot of Jet fans having second thoughts about the QB position
 
Penington is a very underated QB. The guy took the stupid Jets twice to the playoffs, has the best completion percentage of QB in NFL ever to play. Is having his best season and has become this teams MVP.
 
Pennington is getting praise and major recognition from the media for a big reason in the Dolphins turn around. He is also getting probowl endorsements. How is he being underrated?
 
Have to love the way he takes care of the ball and anticipates his throws so they get there even though he has lesser arm strength. A student of the game who I am proud to have QB our team.
 
I said yes! He was way underrated as a Jet so I didn't think it would change here. We as dolphin fans at least should know how good he really was every time we played against him.
 
Yes, he is the biggest reason were in this position right now and we don't hear his name plastered all over ESPN.
 
Yes he is and always will be all the way until his HOF speech. It's a real shame that the thugs of the NFL like Mcnabb, Brady and Quinn all get the media attention yet a player of Pennington's caliber comes along and is consistent his entire career, he is ignored just because he isn't an obnoxious personality, a dog killer or actually knows the rules of the sport he plays.

Thugs, you can't be serious! :unsure: Now Vick and a few others, but I wouldn't consider them three thugs.

Because it took until late in the season for the media to finally realize this team was for real. Not to mention Pennington has been a good quarterback his entire career. It's just this season he turned a 1-15 team into a real playoff contender.

All Homerism aside, Pennington would get my vote for MVP.
 
his arm isn't great so he's never been taken seriously. all he's ever done is make great decision, get the ball in the hands of his playmakers when it matters the most, and not make dumb mistakes. and yet he's always been scoffed at as a good QB. it's a shame.
 
Underated,hmmm I'm not sure,Overratted maybe (but the lack of turnovers is nice).Was Mark Rypen or Trent Dilfer "Underrated"?
