I know that there are many holes right now for the Phins, but is Williams helping matters? It's been a huge media distraction. A big part of the pre season games has been the build up as to how he will do. Also, I would imagine that regardless what some players say, there must be many players who are not thrilled to have him there.

Brown is going to be the present and future RB of this team. Is it worth having Williams around for the chance that he may get us a 3rd or 4th rounder down the road?

Um....yes Ricky is worth having and keeping.

He is not the reason this team is in the shape it's in.

Its only a distraction to those who are not fin fans and acting like Bills fans. Saban sais we dont even have a playbook. I wonder who is telling the truth.

if anything we should be impressed at how Nick and Ricky both have handled this entire situation. Nick has the ability to diffuse things and he will not let it be a distraction.

Ricky carried 5 times...just enough to get him out there on the field...then bam substituted him.....that leaves little for the media to write about so the go on and on about a 2 page pamphlet that they label as our "play book"....i tell you this is gonna be one interesting season....

i dont buy the whole "distraction" thing. what the media talks about has no real effect on the game. so this season, no, not a distraction, or not to the point of hurting the fins game.

ricky williams actions LAST season WERE a distraction.

:moon: tool.

no, I think the lack of an offensive line is a bigger distraction.

I really don't get these posts. Ricky is good for the team. There is no distraction from Ricky. He is a new and reformed man who has a connection with Saban. He's not going anywhere and will be a fairly inexpensive back to make our backfiel very potent.

I know we are having problems, but to flash back on Ricky again is getting ridiculous.

The "distraction" has died down. Right now...at this moment...the bigger distraction is the QB situation. I think that's hurting the team more.

If anything Ricky is helping this team by being a distraction. Instead of the media trashing the O-Line or QB's they have Ricky to write about. So I would venture to say just the opposite. Every team has a couple bad games,

Well , he is and isn't......even if we hadn't traded away the draft picks for him, Wannf*ck would have managed to bungle those draft picks more than likely. But who knows if we'd have had better O-Line without him, and maybe Cedric Benson would have fallen to us with the 5-7 pick in the 2005 draft (this is assuming we'd have won a couple more games last year with the better O-Line because of keeping those picks).

oh my god

you people dont understand what is more valuable to this team.

ricky or no ricky and a low level pick.

come on, that low level pick will never be better than ricky williams.

I don't think Wicky is hurting this team at this point. All he has done is gone out there every day and sweat and grind it out like the rest of the players on this team. That is all that matters to football players.

Wicky the football player is a hell of a person. That has never been his problem. Beynd that to this point he has done nothing but represent the finest traditions that is the Miami Dolphins.

Ricky isn't the distraction, but the press is trying to make him one!! I'm not sure what radio talk show host it was, but he mentioned how the press is literally obsessed with Ricky. I'm inclined to believe that. Just as long as Ricky plays his very best and stays out of trouble, that's all anyone could ask. This playbook story is a bunch of c**p too!! If it was Joe Schmoe that did that there would be no coverage at all!!:o
