When I hear about how great he is out of the backfield catching the ball and how fast he is the comparison is a no brainer. If Benson is like Rickey and Brown is like Faulk who do we want and who is the better fit to Linehans' offense. If both are sitting there after a trade down and we're picking at #7 who should we be pulling for in that scenario. I still think we will trade down and I still believe we will go runningback. After that we might just use the next pick on QB Charlie Frye.

Cadillac Williams should be our pick. There a reason Brown was a backup

SOOOOOOOOOOOO sick of that argument. Why does almost everybody have Brown as a better pick? Dont get me wrong I like Caddy, but they SHARED the load. Brown only played less tailback because he is more versitile. The very same reason he is a better value in the NFL.

I feel like passing on Caddy is like passing on Emmitt Smith 2

Ronnie Brown doesn't have the moves of Faulk.Brown is more of a straight line running back.

I'm liking Brown or Benson as my 1 and 2 RBs so that's why I worded the thread that way.

I like Brown but I still think Williams is the better of the Aurburn RB.I wouldn't mind trading down and picking Williams with an additonal pick but I prefer to see Fins draft a Qb.

everyone can argue over the top 3 RBs till their bue in the face. fact is, there is not much that separates the 3 of them. just like there is not much separating the next tier of RBs.

I look at it this way: are we better off taking one of Brown, Caddy or Benson or are we better off trading down to #7 and getting Mike Williams and then JJ Arrington in the 2nd (using a pick acquired in the trade down)?

Brown vs Mike and JJ
Benson vs Mike and JJ
Caddy vs Mike and JJ

thoughts?

We are less than a week away and i cant be any more excited!!!! No matter what happens we all know Saban is going to pick up a GREAT player no matter what Position he plays or what pick we got him in. But I do have a theory: I think Saban wants Tampa Bay to trade up 3 spots for Smith, which then might cause a DOMINO effect making Minnesotta trade up with the Fins new #5 pick and giving us their #7. Remember the Vikings got rid of Moss to get that #7 and take one of the big 2 WR's.....well as time went on Braylon and Mike have been moving up the draft boards and neither of them might get past #6 to the Titans. Hopefully we make everyone in the top 10 nervous and we use it to our advantage. At #7 we can still find one of the 3 RB's, maybe a top WR,Possibly The BEST Defensive player, or worst case scenario the best OL on the board. That doesn't seem so bad, right?
Hey, remember that the Vikings these past two years have been the joke of the draft. Remember that they were LATE turning in the name of the player they want for 2 straight years, making them move further down in the draft. They can easily get Nervous that one of the big 2 WR's will fall off the board before either of them gets to #7. The Vikings NEED a WR, and if we end up with that 5th pick and there's only one WR left MINNY will need to pull the trigger.
I dont have a problem with #7....as long as we're in the top 10 we're good. And don't forget all the 2nd rounders and 3rd rounders we've accumulated if we do those trades with TB and Minny.

BUT IF WE DO PICK AT # 2 OVERALL . . .

"Is Ronnie Brown the new Marshall Faulk?"!

Faulk obsolutelly dominated college footbal. He was the most prolific back coming out of the draft since Barry Sanders. There is no comparison between Brown and Faulk.
