I wondre if the reason Brees is in NO, and the fact that Saban/Mueller are intercepting him in Bama is because of some sort of deal involving the Saints' 1st pick in the draft? Seems more than coincidence that Brees visits NO when Leinart is their main target... Are the Saints up to something as well?

i think leinart said he didnt wanna go there

huh? you just confused me there

what i meant was maybe Saban was in the process of working a deal with NO for their pick .... and was the interecept of Brees by Saban and Mueller in Alabama part of that possibility?

Id have a real hard time rooting for leinart

I think his question was this

Are the saints signing Brees, and dealing their pick

Which I say unlikely but possible

it is a possibility i guess but very unlikely. I think saban went to NO in order to make sure that Brees does not sign the contract offer by the Saints today.

Yeah, I don't think we have a shot at trading for their pick. Then again, it is the Saints, so you never know. Remember, they gave up their entire draft to get Ricky

After brees signs a contract brees wont be able to get trading due to the signing bonus in his deal. Either team would take a major cap hit. I think your looking way to into it, the sign and trade days are long over in the NFL.

But it's possible NO is hosting Brees knowing Miami is desperate, and maybe would give alot for NO's pick. If they offer brees a huge deal, and we can't realistically beat it, then we get into the area of giving much more than first wanting to to get a Franchise QB...I think it was smart for NO to talk to Brees... What have they got to lose?

u kno u would give in if his first game of his career he gets 300 yards, 2/3 td's, no ints, and a W.
