Now, that Hadnot has moved to Center, and we filled his previous spot with Bennie Anderson, we have released 2 Centers, does this mean that Saban trust in Hadnot a lot as a center?, what would happen if he is not good enough at center?

Your thoughts?

Hadnot proved himself at that position last year. Miami has both McKinney and Smith as backups.

The only ??? on the starting OL is at RG.

Why?, whats the problem with Bennie Anderson?, Ive heard that he was good in Baltimore, but not so good in Buffalo...

Do you know how many sacks per year he allowed in each team?

I dont know that the Hadnot experiment is really an experiment.

He's been solid even before Houck was here. He might not have been playing Center, but I dont think that's hardly a huge change.

Releasing the Centers is hardly a big deal, considering we've got a starting Center in Seth McKinney, and a former starter at Center in Wade Smith.

Agreed...Hadnot moving to center only adds depth to the position. Furio and McNeil were never the answer. McNeil had not even been with the team since May. Having both Hadnot and McKinney be able to play G or C opens up all kinds of possibilities on the line. Saban just "gets it."

He was a center in college. That's his natural position. The experiment was trying him at guard.

Other than not being able to ut it with the Ravens and the Bills?

Nothing, I'd guess.

You really want to trust that spot to a guy that couldn't stick with two other teams?

NM.....People on this board think one people wear Aqua, they will just transform into superman, I guess...:shakeno:

Like Saban who likes to coach up the db's cuz thats the position he played, Houck was a center so more then likely will coach up that position. Having Mckinney to fall back on as depth is still great to have, but with Hadnot we should get a much better push up the middle, and more then likely better line calls which McKinney seemed to struggle with.

Word is Anderson is slow a foot and struggles pass blocking, but is a mauler at run blocking. Should be a fun battle to watch in training camp for starting RG.

They said that he did stick with Barffalo, but they released him because they have changed their schemes and that Mularkey knows him, which should be good, also one guy mentioned that he opened the holes for Jamal Lewis when he got 1800 yards in a season, I don't know what to think until watch him play...

But, I want to know his stats, how many sacks he allowed in each team, each year and how many yards per carry (average) did the RB's had under his protection...

Hadnot was a solid center in college and he's been solid at that position whenever called upon. Last year, Hadnot was the one who had the problem with most of the false starts, but he was still one of the more physical linemen, so why not alleviate the false start issue with him snapping the ball. Plus McKinney is the opposite of physical and Saban and Mularkey want a physical style of play. Mckinney will be the odd man out.

He released a center that quit, and I'm guessing the other (Furio) was not exactly doing great if he was released. The only gamble is can Hadnot do betetr than McKinney and that was already answered last year. He's really the best option we have so there is no gamble.
