Well, I believe Gus had his chance already, but the truth is that nothing happens, I see the gametime fly by and there's nothing to cheer for... Stupid mistakes, batted balls, very dumb penalties, there are six or seven good plays in the whole game... That's absurd

I recall Pittsburgh, when the quarterback was the slash, they could never make anything important, now suddenly there came Roethlisberger and the same team came together.... Can we expect this to happen tu us????

No we cant. Ben is a stud, Sage is an unknown expecting that much from him is pretty ridiculous

In your logic, we will cut Gus, start a so-so player that has a good year, then start Sage and he will be a savour(Slash was cut, Tommy became starter, got hurt, in came Big Ben).

Having said that, no, Sage will not be to Miami what Ben is to Steelers...there is one Ben, one Marino, one Young, one Kelly, etc... nobody can reproduce what they've done(playing wise, not stat wise). It would be nice, but it just won't happen.... Don't get me wrong though, I like Sage and would like to see what he can do in this new offensive scheme we have with Scott as the OC.

Edit: Plus, Ben isn't out there slinging the ball, he throws between 14 and 22 passes a game, and it looks all good because of the running game around him and he manages the game.

Heck, If the shoe doesn't fit, change it or it will hurt your feet so badly you won't even be able to walk.....

As I said, Gus had his chance, almost half of the season. We are 2-4 right now. But the issue here is that as a Fan I don't see anything interesting. Everytime we have the ball I pray to God for something good to happen..... And wen our D comes out I pray once more for Offensive Penalty, at this point I'm becoming a MONK.....

More like Brady Quinn. Manning and Rivers picked early. 3rd QB selected with I think the 11th pick Big Ben to Pitt.

2006: Leinart and Young go top 5 and Miami selects Brady Quinn with the 11th pick......Maybe not.

Big Ben is a publicity Stunt, he is nothing but a "Caretaker" of a smashmouth run system. Big Ben will not be winning any Games when it a responsibility for him to start throwing the football more and having to work w/o a running game he didnt even have 100 passing yards last game....

I like Brady Quinn tons, but I dont think he is gonna come out next year.

Who Cares if sage is or isnt? the problem isnt passing even if the passes thrown suck!!!! Its the fact that there not running the ball enough Linahan is trying to go deep like hes still got culpepper for petes sake. Rickys back run him and ronnie. Ronnie had 97 yds on count em 8 carries him and Ricky need to Carry the rock atleast 25 times a game we would have run the ball down there throats If we had stuck with the run..............

I say get back to basiccs and run the darn ball! :fire:

I think first there was Maddox before Big Ben....and Pitt fans...thought Tommy was the next coming of Marino....and now look..we can go on and on..about this QB came in and that one....but its all a crapshoot...take Holcomb....perfect reliever...not a great starter....Sage im sure is not the Miracle in Miami....but we KNOW that Gus is not...sooo we must evaluate Sage now...so we can save the time and not do it later....

No.

big ben played horrible in the playoffs , the jets game should´ve been a loss ...but the patriots game a was truly miserable ..... brady gave him such a lesson ....comparing big ben to marino or montana is very ignorant ...yet .

If Sage=Ben, we would have seen it by now at the Tenn game, Balt, and this week. Not to mention all the preseasons he's played.
