Is Satele on his way out?

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't read the article clearly before my last post

i missed reading your post before the edit
Did the messenger get shot?

Haha not at all, I said

" What's with all the crazy articles lately?

If anything, the only thing he's on his way out from is Center "

But the whole article was about him being moved from center .. so I would have just looked like an idiot. :D

I'm a big fan of Satele at LG . . . moving Smiley over to RG . . . and having Murphy, Alleman and Donald Thomas (I know people think Donald Thomas is as good as sliced bread, but he is a 6th round rookie . . . who now is gonna be away from football action for a year . . . don't expect him to just waltz right back in as the starter . . . even tho if he does, that is great also) as the depth. I think that would be ideal. If this guy Johnson has the goods to be a solid Center in this offense I am all for it.

I am with you there. Guard is a critical need and just like you cannot call a player a bust in his first year, you cannot call him a savior before his first game

I am all for letting him have his shot but our run blocking has been embarassing this year. If Satele is our justincase for guard (and he works out) we at least look like the line is getting attention.

I'm glad the FO keeps on bringing in guys..they're trying tomake the roster better all the time....I like Satele but if this guy is better then I'm fine with it too.

Ozzy rules!!

As soon as they signed this guy and Sparano started raving about him, I immediately thought Satele could be a goner.

I think a OL of L to R Long Smiley Johnson Thomas Carey with Sampson, Allenman, and a young drafted tackle would be a pretty good OL with some decent depth to start out next year.
I have never been as high on Sampson as most on this board. He just doesn't have the size to keep from keeping pushed around. He is quick but gets killed on bull rushes unless he has help. Thomas on the other hand has a chance to be the best OLman on the team, better than Long. After going back and watching tape of Thomas this guy truely was a beast. I can now see why the FO was so high on this guy. I hope he comes back to form before preseason next year. He has a chance to be a top 3 RG in the league.

I think the way that the Pats NT manhandled him two weeks ago has left a lasting impression on Sproano/Parcells/Ireland.

We play them twice a year, we need to deal with that guy better than that.

If so, the Alabama center A Caldwell would be a possibility with one of our 2nd round draft pics. He's a hell of technician who is smart to boot. He's already finished his first degree and working on his second.

as long as run-blocking is his biggest pro.
