I hate to make another thread, but why the hell has our offense regressed so badly since Week 1?

It's like I'm seriously watching Henningball/Wannyball out there. Daboll wants to run a pseudo-spread offense with 3 wide sets and shotgun formations and ****...and why aren't we seeing it? How come every third down we keep seeing the same playcalling as the past couple years, a dumpoff pass to the running back or a screen that always ends up short?

I just don't get it dude. Break out your tinfoil hats; I'm starting to believe Dan Henning was scapegoated out of a job to cover up Sparano's ultra-conservative coaching style. This is ridiculous.

:bobdole:

they sucking for luck sparano and duball ross have bought in heck even part of the team wants luck
marshall is probably dropping on purpose for luck

I believe that this statement holds a lot of truth. Such a drastic change in offensive scheme between Henning and Daboll, in yet we see the same offense on the field this year as last.

We are regressing because the coaching staff is losing control of the situation.
There was hope in week 1.

What? That post makes zero sense.

dabolls offense was not good in Cleveland and its not good in Miami I dont see why Sparano is to blame , he bares enough blame

It does not matter neither can manage a game.

Pass protection in non-existent. After the first game every team the Dolphins faces knows exactly where to attack, the right side.

Can't have a spread out pass first offense when you either have to use extra bodies to hold-down the right side or the QB is under constant pressure.

The amount of time Henne/Moore have had to make plays is embarrassing compared to the amount of time some other QB's have. Brady is back in the pocket ordering a pizza and updating his netflix cue. There is no time for the QB to let a play develop or even consider going long.

Since the defense knows that they have guaranteed immediate pressure on the QB it shortens the field. It's gonna be a quick pass or a run.

Since the pass protection is so bad, the Dolphins have gone back to running more. If Thomas were playing things might have worked out differently but today we got to see Bush showing off his moves for a future appearance on Dancing With The Stars.

The sad thing is there have been some flashes of what the offense is capable of but it's not going to happen this season, not with the open-door policy on the right side of the line.

bingo. this team has talent, but it also has some very very glaring holes. the holes are so bad that it prevents the entire team from being successful. combine that with the guys that need to be making plays not delivering (brandon marshall, jason taylor, yeremiah bell, sean smith, vontae davis, dansby) and youre in trouble.

we have quite a few holes to fill in one offseason, and a lot of questions need to be answered.

do we continue running a 3-4? and retain paul soliai? do we switch to a 4-3?
can we continue to feed the ball to brandon marshall when he cant be relied upon either on or off the field? right now marshall is not a #1 receiver hes a #2. hes been WAY too inconsistent his entire time in miami, and it seems hes developed a phobia of the end zone as a dolphin.
bess is useless in the red zone, and doesnt scare anybody. gates hasnt shown he deserves to even be on the field let alone have the potential to ever develop into a legitimate wide out. he needs alot of time - we wont be able to depend on his development headed into next year

we need a RT,RG,TE,LG,WR,backup everydown RB in that order (or close to it) on offense (QB of course)
depending on the defense we run and if soliai stays we need at least 1 interior DL perhaps 2 or 3(if 4-3), 2 safeties, 1 nickel back, edge pass rusher.

this roster legitimately has 12 or so spots that need to be upgraded and im not talking about the bottom of the roster either. this franchise needs a couple more probowl caliber players at the top of the roster, and a couple more very good starters. the middle of the roster needs to be filled out with some guys that could start but dont. this team has holes that need to be filled, and it isnt going to happen in one offseason. it could happen in 2 if we made good moves. this team could be competitive next year tho, but we will still have flaws.

most importantly we need a coach that can bring the pieces together and get them to play as one, play for each other

Our OC retires, we bring in one of the least effective OC from last year and we wonder why our offense hasn't improved ? Week 1 stats were an illusion. NE was playing prevent for 2/3 rd's of the game as they knew they could score at will againt us. Our D has no pass rush and no answer for the TE routs. Our DB's are good, but they can't cover a guy for 10 seconds if the the QB has all day to throw.

I tried to tell everyone Daboll sucks! Although this conservative **** in the redzone is Sparano tampering for sure!

daboll and nolan are both nothing special...nolan can let jason taylot rush from anywhere he damn pleases in an effort to get him clean looks at the qb but koa misi who can't beat a tackle if his life depended on it has to rush every down off the edge??? makes no sense...if jason taylor can have free run as a pass rusher why can't koa do it on occasion??? and god these drop into soft zones with free releasing crossing te's running rampant all over around us is driving me ****ing crazy...

i hope when sparano goes nolan gets his walking papers also...he's so overrated...and daboll never has been and never will be anything special...
