For all intent and purposes, our opening day roster is going to come from the players we now have. We may try to upgrade some off late cuts, and could make a move for injury but, what we see is what we get.

There are debatable moves the team made with Finnegen, Delmas, Moreno, and even Albert but, we wait and see how they work out. For me, I would liked to add a LB but, there was nothing out there. After the Colledge deal we are at $13M in left over cap space, and my only real complaint was not adding one solid starting OG. Not a lot.

I've read where season ticket sales are up 12% on new and renewals, after going down the previous 3 years. So, it would appear fans are thinking better of this year's team, although getting rid of Ireland may have been responsible for some of that. :)

Does the forum believe the team is better, worse or, the same?

If we didn't lose Pouncey and Jordan..... yes.

Sure, certain positions could of used upgrades but I feel we have a nice balance of experience players with young talent to develop that will keep this team competitive for years to come.

We could all kick and scream that we should of signed this high profile guy and that high profile guy, but that would just be a ala' Eagles 'dream team' repeat that provides a non-sustainable team.

We already have a potentially devastating injury for perhaps the whole year in Pouncey, and a 4-game dumbass suspension for Jordan. Both of those don't help. But I am more optimistic this year than last. Our talent has improved, the rookies seem good in shorts, and the potential is there for us to make the playoffs this year, just as it was last year. Will we choke again? Who knows.

Pouncey out the whole year? It is only the first four games.

As for our roster, I would be happier if we addressed our offensive line more in the offseason and added a different CB than Finnegan but who knows what will happen from now until September, with cuts, free agent pickups and possible trades. Right now I am on the fence with our roster. Ask again September 6th.

I don't see much of anything changing between now and then. I also do not believe we are going to be able to evaluate the young guys and additions until we see them in real games at NFL speed with all the complicated play calls on O and D.

You never know. We were coming off a 1-15 season in Mid August with little hope when Chad Pennington fell into our lap.

For me, last year was the most disappointing finish in the last 10 years, based on what I expected after 14 games. In hindsight though, there were a lot of good things to take from last season in moving on.

My concern is fitting in all these new pieces early, and not getting off to a bad start, 2-2 by the bye would be fine by me.

I'll be happy if we make the playoffs, and won't if we don't.

Who in the hell could be happy with the roster we have?

I mean don't get me wrong. We're not the 31st best team in the league or anything. We're mediocre to sub mediocre, like always. Who in the name of Zeus' butthole is happy with that?

Ask in December or at least until we play a few games...too early to say right now. It's pretty simple, if we get back to the playoffs, it'll be because this roster played like winners. A lot of it is on Tannehill, if he takes a big leap and makes the offense around him better, than this team will go places.

**** no. How is this even a question?

Our line consists of 2 rookies, an unproven player, a tackle with back issues, and a headcase....who we were maneuvering into a leadership position, before his injury of course. Our receivers are binders full of mediocrity, with the one exception being a speedster who drops the ball and gives up on plays. We have one proven tight end and hes a converted fullback. And i have no idea what the **** is going on with running back.
On defense things arent much better. We are still starting Phillip Wheeler at linebacker. I guess we are moving Koa Misi to middle(?), a position he has never played and doesnt want to. We have 1 proven corner, an old declining player who is also injury prone, and a bunch of unknowns. One of our safeties is looking more and more like a one year wonder and the other safety was injured literally every single week last season.

No, just....no. Obvious mediocre roster is obvious. This team is going to take time to un-**** from Ireland. Unfortunately, Hickey proved himself to be no better and while the rest of the league is moving away from guaranteed contracts we are doubling down on them, so we will be having problems in the future.

About the only thing to hope for this coming season is Tannehill developing. With our **** line and mediocre receivers, smart money says hes going to have a rough year. Though if he does overcome all of that, than we have a keeper. Baptized by fire and all of that.

Yeah, I'll be sure to mark that down on my calendar. In the meantime, others can still post opinions, rather than waiting. :)

Well, for not being even a question, you did a pretty fair job in answering with your opinion.
