Just wondering if that counts as two completions for Tua.

Every Tua completion should count as two!

Seriously, that's a great question. I also wonder if that was actually the designed play, or if Tua just threw it back to Gaskin because a defender was in his face?

It sure looked to me like the play was designed to go back to Gaskin. Defenders assume the flicker is going deep, but the QB floats it just over the heads of the rushers to a wide-open RB. Very clever. It likely won't work again now that it's been seen by the league, but gimmick plays like that aren't meant to be staples, anyway. Good times on a fun night.

It looks like a modified screen play. Other teams just added that to their playbook.

I wonder where our gaggle of OCs saw that play, because they sure as hell didn't come up with that themselves.

I've shaken my head at some calls, too, but credit where due. From the endzone view it looks like we have a WR (Wilson) hauling ass on a deep corner, too. I don't know if that's to sell the secondary on the fake, or whether he's a true option if Tua gets time for a deep throw, but there was a lot going on. At a glance it looks well conceived. I'd love to see an all-22 breakdown of the play.

Of course, the masses (myself included) would be ridiculing the play had Tua been sacked or Gaskin stopped for a loss, but it worked. It was a gutsy call at the right time, and the players executed. Football sometimes makes me smile, and last night this play was one of several reasons to smile. šŸ˜

If the throw is behind it is not a completion. Itā€™s considered a run.

This board is too on edge. It seems like a legit question

Was a great heads up play by Tua and Gaskin. It was that sort of night.
