Armando is now saying on Twitter that the team says the Mashall trade is independent of Manning.

Sorry - you don't trade your star wide receiver away if you're still in the hunt for Manning. The Mashall trade is either DIRECTLY related to getting Manning (meaning it's a done deal), or it means the team has already been told no by Manning, and they're pursuing something else.

SO ... the team is either DIRECTLY LYING to Armando ... OR the Manning chase is completely over.

Which do you think it is?

Well, I guess if the Marshall trade was in the works for a while, then it's possible that nothing has been decided. If that was the case, they would have told Manning when they met him. Maybe they would have traded Marshall regardless. But if that's the case, they could have gotten more for him.
