There are some years where there have been some obvious choices when the Miami Dolphins are on the clock. Ryan Tannehill and Mike Pouncey come to mind. Both of those were heavily connected with Miami prior to the draft and it was no surprise when they were picked. DaVante Parker was another player who was somewhat an obvious pick, although the speculation was that he would be gone before the Dolphins had a shot. Minnesota was a possibility.
This year, picking at #22, it's harder to predict who will be there. Essentially, Miami's obvious choice could be another teams' obvious choice as well. So that player could be gone.
That said, I keep coming back to Jarrad Davis. Davis makes so much sense on many levels. First, there is an obvious need at the linebacker position. With the best players on defense all veterans, getting a young player who can become the leader of the defense in a few years also makes sense.
Add in his talent and versatility and Davis just seems like the perfect way to go.
