if sage does get the start this weekend, especially with it being on the road, that sabahan will dumb down the offense and we will try to run it 40+ times?

in other words, sage really won't get the opportunity to win the starting job. he will just manage the game, and gus will be back under center the following week.

i pray somehow it doesn't go like that, and sage looks like joe freakin montana. because i'd love to hear nick answer the question: even though sage looked good in preseason, and gus looked like *** for 9 games, why did it take so long and why did it take injury for sage to get his shot?

it's time for nick to man up, say he F'd up with linehan/frerotte, take the allowed mulligan for being a rookie nfl head coach and say he won't let it happen again.

Did you see the game last Sunday?

One of my favorite football phrases is: "The most popular person in town is always the backup QB, until they have to start"

yeah reguardless of the weather, its my opinion that this would be the game plan anyway.

How can there be snow showers with a tempature up near 50 degrees, it doesn't make any sense.

It can snow but it doesn't mean it will stick to the ground. It's snowed here at 40.

Accuweather says the high is 42 but it will feel like 31.

That doesn't mean it can't snow, it probably just won't stick to the ground.

Well when they start they are no longer the "backup QB". Thus someone else is now the most popular. :D

Which will start the tidal wave of start Cleo threads!

I live in R.I. and haven't got any snow with the temp at 50 degrees, the highest temp we ever got snow is around 40 degrees.

First Byroan....they get more ice than snow in Charlotte....and when they get any ice or snow...they close the city down for three days until it melts. Your kids don't get a summer vacation...it's all make up days...:D

 There is not any doubt that your phrase is dead-on-balls accurate. Every franchise's fans go through this. Here are some observations from me:

1. Gus or Sage is not the future.

2. Cleo Lemon may be, but I really don't have an educated opinion on him yet.

3. We need to get a qualified NFL starting QB next year.

BTW, did you see the new special on HBO this month with George Carlin's return? "Life is worth losing.":roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:That introduction is the best I've ever heard...PERIOD!
