A lot of fans and draft analysts seem to think it is. No Henne, Flaco or Brohm at 32.

Was the DE a better value or are the Dolphins not that interested in spending a high pick on another young QB?

I still believe the soonest Miami will look at QB is the 4th Round and it wouldn't surprise me if they pick up a young QB in free agency. I could see Oconnel from SDSU being a FA pickup.

I'm sure we will take a QB later somwhere. THey need to give beck a chance he was drafted in the 2nd round you cant give up on a guy after a horrid year by the whole team.
THey got Jake long to cover his blind side which was a great move. Now we need another WR to help out.

No. This draft was never about John Beck, much as people wanted to make it out to be. It was about the level of talent at the picks available. This isn't a good draft for quarterbacks--arguably it's the worst draft for quarterbacks in a long, long time. If they had value available, they would have taken it. But Chad Henne is looking more and more like a third rounder, and Brohm is looking like he's only going to be an option for West Coast teams. That said, if talent had been available, they would have jumped on a quarterback at #1 or #32 in an instant.

More of a weak QB draft more then anything else. Although Parcella doesn't believe in taking QB's high in the draft.

I wonder what John Beck is thinking about now ....

he better be thinking that he has to step it up because he has protection and the running game got a whole lot better we might get a later round QB for giggles though

A bit earlier than I would have liked to see a QB drafted but Miami needs 3 competent QB's.

It will be a battle between them but I believe Beck and McCown will have a slight edge working out in the off season.

Now, I hope Miami can get a CB and a WR in the second day.
