Gore was playing in his 125th consecutive game on Sunday, as he has shown remarkable durability for a player who entered the NFL in 2005 with serious health questions after two torn ACLs at the University of Miami.

Gore struggled to get to the sideline after the injury; first his teammates helped him up and supported him, and then team medical staff helped. After a few minutes in the sideline medical tent a team trainer took his helmet and put it away; not long after, he was placed on the cart and brought back to the locker room.

A five-time Pro Bowler, Gore was on track for another season with 1,000 yards from scrimmage, something he has done for 12 straight seasons entering this one.

I hate to see a legend like FG go down like that. Didn't even look like a crazy hit either. I've always been a fan of him, and having him on the team was great. Hopefully, the other guys step if he is going to be out.

I didn't read the article.

Are they saying it's more than just an ankle sprain, or high ankle sprain?

I hope it's not the end for him.
We could sure use more players like him on this team.

Gore still has juice in the tank, hopefully this is not to serious cause I would hate to have him end it like that.

It actually looked very similar to his second injury in college, the one against West Virginia.

That was knee and this was ankle but both looked fairly tame...going down parallel to the ground while typically squirming for extra yardage after a moderate gain

I think one of the Lineman rolled up on his ankle.
