As much as i want quinn and landry, i think the best thing for miami is to trade down a few spots. let's say to (Buffalo) for a 4th. i would then try to draft these guys. what do you think?

#1 - Greg Olson, TE
#2 - Sidney Rice, WR
#2 - Trent Edwards or Drew Stanton, QB
#3 - James Marten, OT
#4 - Nathan Bennett, OG
#4 - Enoka Lucas, C
#6 - Travarous Bain, CB (small school stud)
#6 - Jacoby Jones, wr (sleeper pick)
#7 - punter
#7 - bpa

Why would a team trade down to get a TE in the first round? if we did trade down I would want Ted Ginn jr. if was still there.

Did you watch any of the Hurricane games last year? Olsen was a big part of their offense and was mediocre. I'm all for the size / speed thing but the guy is no higher than a 3rd rounder in terms of production.

its also called offensive line gave no protection and it was kyle wright.

If Peterson drops to nine you can bet that GB will want to trade down to the Dolphins spot and pick him up before Houston has a chance. That is the most likely trade scenario I see. Here is what would be exchanged:

#9 pick - 1350 value

for

#16 pick - 1000 value
#47 pick - 430 value

Carolina would like to have Peterson also.

What's really gonna mess with your head is when a team offers to trade UP to us.

Now there's some food for thought. :goof:

If Quinn, Okoye and Branch are off the board, trade down.

I am all for trading down but I can't think of too many scenarios where I think it will be worth it. I would trade down for both NE's firsts ! THAT would be worth it. To trade down out of the Top 10 just to pick up some extra knucklehead in the fourth...i don't know.

If we could get 2 1st rounders, our draft could be

Staley, Kalil, Edwards/Stanton, Ben Patrick or one of the many DBs (Houston, Merriweather, Wright etc)

Only way that happens is if Landry falls to us and it would be hard to pass on him. We just have too many needs.

Trading down to 16, we could justify taking Levi Brown there. With 3 picks in the 2nd we could be in good position to load up on some guys that slip out of the 1st and not pay 1st round money to them or Top ten money to Levi Brown. Could be a prudent move. Definitely not sexy though.

No more sexy, need SMART! :D

You do not trade down a few spots in the 1st round for a 4th rounder, it is usually for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Sometimes it is even for a future 1st rounder.

Except I haven't seen many mock drafts where he gets chosen later than the 10th pick and even then, 15th at the latest.
