I never really seem to find factual articles about him, but he sure looked good in his last college year. Is he a Ryan Leaf nut case or someone that could be a gem on a new team. I seem to wonder if Fisher has been hard on him from the start with the benchings and so forth. But I honestly know very little about him. Even when I look for info I find little.

Vince Young is trash. I want nothing to do with that guy. You can't run your way to a Super Bowl. The Eagles will find that out soon enough. Vince Young is a head case. He's immature. You can't be a head case with maturity issues and cut it in this league...ESPECIALLY at the QB position when you have to make smart decisions and make judgment calls.

Agreed. I guess I'm asking, "is he really a head case?" Seems like it, but I'm a factual guy and have seen little data. I mean throwing your gear into the stands is a bad fact, but I hear you.

As much as it pains me to say, with our QB situation we gotta look at EVERY option.

But yeah he does have issues.

If Fisher is staying in Tenn...then Vince is not.

He doesn't have the skin tough enough to play in the NFL, never mind here when he throws an INT the "Young Sucks" chants will start.

If Vince Young sucks. . what about Fisher. .

There is a bit of a Fisher love in going on around the league. . he 'aint all that . . I am not tryin to troll here but IMO I dont rate him as highly as he is getting credit for. .

Lets look at the evidence:

Honestly Jeff Fisher is an ok coach. . but look at his record. . he has not had many 'winning' seasons. .in terms of division/playoff success his team has finished mid table a lot. . he has had a few really decent seasons. . 6 in 16 years. . he threatens greatness but fails to deliver. he is ok if you want your team to walk the middle of the road rather at a steady pace. . but he will never deliver greatness. . not in my opinion anyway. .

Actually I am going to look at the last 16 years now .. .

1995 7-9
1996 8-8
1997 8-8
1998 8-8
1999 13-3 lost in the SB
2000 13-3 lost to Ravens in div game
2001 7-9
2002 11-5 lost to the Raiders in Championship game
2003 12-4 lost patriots div game
2004 5-11
2005 4-12
2006 8-8
2007 10-6 lost to Chargers in WC game
2008 13-3 lost to Ravens in div game
2009 8-8
2010 6-10

he has a 5-6 post season record and just 6 winning seasons in 16

Good solid teams dont finish:

7-9
5-11
4-12
6-10 or even 8-8.. mediocrity sits at 8-8.

agree 100% . i guess the titans are gonna be satisfied with another 6 winning seasons in 17 years nonsense.(apparently hes being retained).fisher is the most overrated coach in the league right now!

a team like s.f or minnesota could use young, and hopefully he doesn't get a coach who tries to hold him back.then we will see if he really IS a winnah!

I think it is time to gamble. Take him to compete. He does not suck. Maybe his head can be fixed. Time to gamble on a QB. And also draft one in round 1

Wait...

You want to give Vince Young a chance even though he is completely immature and refuses to grow up, has yet to display that he can win a football game, cannot grasp a complex NFL scheme (which Harbaugh would run) AND you want to draft a guy in the FIRST round?

For ****s and giggles let's say Vince Young is great. Now we have a starter and a first round QB sitting the pine.

So let me guess...trade the prospect and put all of our eggs in one basket with Vince Young.

For Bud Adams to give up on Vince Young...that says A LOT about Vince Young as a person and as a player.

Well he wore out his welcome in TN. Let's just leave it at that. As he was given so much opportunities. And blew them all. Good luck VY, wherever you land. If you do land another team! He is going to be a back-up IMHO if he doesn't, shape in, or ship out!

I say sign him and let him compete for the job, draft a QB also. Pat Devlin could be a good choice we could trade down in the draft and still get some nice players
