Is Walt Aikens glad to be back at CB for Miami Dolphins? ‘For sure, man’

DAVIE — Coach Adam Gase calls Walt Aikens a “team-first guy,” meaning Aikens isn’t one to speak up about how he’d like to be used.
But Aikens admitted Wednesday that all this time he’d been a safety, he was quietly hoping he’d get a tap on the shoulder and be told the Dolphins would like him to work at cornerback.

I'm happy he's at least given the opportunity. Dude made some plays on ST last season so he definitely earned a shot in my book.

Seems like if nothing else he could be another Michael Thomas. Good on special teams and nice to have when a starter goes down....at least I hope he can be that outside special teams

Unfortunately, we are thin at safety. If Jones misses any time we may see Aikens and Thomas back there again. I hope not.

Not to be negative, but I recall him getting beat several times at safety.
Don't know if he has the speed to be a corner.
But one of our best ST players
