Is Zach Thomas a Hall of Famer?

I was contrasting Zach with a consensus future HOFer in Ray Lewis.

Zach has more total tackles, Ray has more solo tackles.

Ray has about 7 more sacks and ints than Zach, but Zach has 8 more Forced Fumbles than Ray..

Is a SB Ring the only glaring difference? Their stats are rather comparable to each others..

Zach is the best MLB in the game, better than ray lewis in my opinion

I say yes he is a hall of famer
 
Oh man, as big a homer as I am , I say there is no way Zach makes the HOF, unless he wins a SB with a huge game. He's not good enough to get in w/out a ring. Aside from the stats, he really hasn't turned out for the BIG games. I think he's a hell of a player and strong willed. Miami Dolphins HOF, definitely, but not Canton. I'd love to see him in it though, but I don't see it.
 
Yeah, I think his number may be retired and go up in the ring of honor for the Phins, but I don't think he'll be a HOFer. If he does, I'd be ecstatic.
 
dont compare him to current players. (even though i do think Lewis will be in the hall on reputation alone).

look at a list of hall of fame LBs. there arnt that many. is he on the same level as LT? no. hes very good. but i dont think hes a hall of fame LB.

if zack can play 15 years with 100 tackles or more, which hes going to do for 11, then i would say he would be in because hof loves longevity and hes a warrior and he will get in because what other linebackers do you know who deserve it over him, he may not get it while hes alive but when we are old and grey hell get in
 
he will be after 5 years of be out of the nfl...thats as soon as u cant get it i think

Fletcher and Spikes do not even come close to ZT i just had to let it out

Sacks and passes defended make a difference. one thing to consider is about total tackles. Stats don't show this but a thing to consider is how many were for a loss. How many yda were gained on the others, etc. Zack was on pace for a record year in tackles before injury. Could this be because of "Mount Traylor" clogging up the middle more than in recent years and allowing him to roam better? These are just some of the many questions that will come up when the time for voting come up.
Does zack have a reasonable chance? Sure, I think he'll make it eventually, but imo, ray Ray is a lock to go in his first year.

well i wont get in to that. but i am happy with our LBs. :D
