Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams were unable to reach a new contract with WR Isaac Bruce and they released him.

You don't need him. I would love to have him here in KC, he is perfect for our offense. But I doubt we could afford him.

But I gotta admit KC with bruce would be kinda scary

Bruce has dropped off. He has been that good the past few years because of Torry Holt. He wouldn't be any more successful here then Marty Booker.

The contract is expected to be finalized as early as Friday, March 10. Bruce will be paid $6 million for the 2006 season. His previous contract, which he was released from, would have paid him $8.1 million in 2006.

Interesting turn of events... Issac Bruce... classy move taking a pay cut, even though he and Vermeil had their arguements in the late 90's he's been loyal to the Rams for almost 12 years.
