Sparano just hhhhhaaddd to play him in that all important 4th preseason game, where future cuts are trying to still make this sport their primary means of income.

Just imagine the resources saved and hits avoided on whomever our QB would've been in this alternate universe. Could've actually focused on other needs, and enjoyed having the solid anchor we expected.

It's so rare for us to have the right opportunity, the right player available and actually do the right thing. Thanks Tony. My Long jersey should still be relevant and the makeup of this team could've been so different.

Life is funny, so much can hinge on just one decision. Something so benign can impact so much, even years later.

He kept playing in that preseason game because we were trying to generate something positive for our struggling young QB going into the season. Blame Chad Henne for sucking. Not many did at the time except for me.

In that alternate universe, Jonathan Martin brings a shotgun to work and massacres the O-line room before being easily defeated by an incoming defensive end.

I mean you might as well wish Bullygate never happened, lol
This team has had the absolute worst luck with OL players

He played a year with Tannehill right?

Jake Long was a bust and just another example of the poor decisions this franchise has made drafting. Its almost as if some higher power is telling them who they must take and when or else how do you explain the missed opportunities to take star players. Maybe those players are telling their agents where they are willing to land like Andy Luck did and Elway before him. Something is going on because there are too many draft blunders to ignore.

I think we're missing Vontae Davis and Sean Smith right now. Karlos Dansby too. Charles Clay would be nice, and so would Brandon Marshall. John Jerry is playing lights out for the Giants, and Joe Berger was an all-pro last year. Soliai is still playing quality football as we get ran over. Our personnel decisions over the past 6 years have been absolutely atrocious. We gave away known commodities to replace them with question marks that by and large have not panned out. None of those were guys falling off the face of the earth due to injury. Just incompetent personnel decisions.

Why did we dismantle one of the best DLs in football? Why did we replace two top 10 LBs with guys that we paid more to get absolute dog **** from? Why did we trade away a top 5 WR because of an incident with his wife but allowed another players wife to trash the team constantly? Why did we let two above average (at worst) starter quality CBs walk? Even Nolan ****ing Carroll is playing decent ball, so make that 3 corners. Philbin oversaw a huge exodus of talent, and we drafted even worse, and we're reaping what we've sewn.

Obviously what happened years ago has left you feeling blue far too long.

Thanks for doing a much more extensive job of underlining my basic point. How is it that we continue to have the same personnel problems to solve every year. There's been talent here but nothing seems to ever get remedied.
