I'd be happy with Philbin or McCoy. It all comes down to who your starting QB is, PERIOD! Mike McCarthy's hire was critically panned because the 49ers offense was 32 in the league the 1 year he was there as OC. the coach must rally the team, set the example, and not be TIMID.

Well Rivers is a damn good qb and yet his team sits at home alot playoff time. Alex Smith is far froma great qb and I would say harbaugh has had more effect on the niners than any player for any team this year
