...in fact it has never happened before - being an ALWAYS POSITIVE (hardcore/supportive) Dolfan since the early years - that my USUAL and very hopeful preseason excitement for the upcoming season is, this time(?), SUBSTANTIALLY less, declined.

This offseason I'm finding myself mildler; my "thrill" subdued. All positive emotions topsy-torvy, in contrast to previous seasons, for the coming 2019-20 season.

What's up with that...?

Are you riding the same boat?
I wonder...?

Thanks for your comments. Peace.

Yeah. I find myself less excited for the Dolphins and the NFL in general. The quality of the NFL has declined over recent years and there is very little to be excited about with this current Dolphins roster. Until this team finds a legitimate franchise QB they are dead in the water.

As a fan, I am all in with hope and looking forward to the new Dolphins... that's how I feel... I get it... the let downs over the years but I'm not going to proclaim to be a follower and a fan of anything that I can't believe in... seems like mental masterb****n.... I will believe until PROVEN different …. You can always rejoin the bandwagon with others when the wins start or you can be a fan and hope that we finally got it right.... choices :chuckle::cheers::out:

We sacrificed being a pretender with a marginal shot at sneaking into the playoffs in 2019.....and chose the possibility of being a legit playoff team with a future in 2020.....So 2019 is about developing young players and building a new system...taking a shot at finding a legit QB in Josh Rosen...I feel good about the direction!

I'm excited. We have an exciting gunslinger at qb behind center who u never know what the hell hes gonna do ir wheres it gonna go. And the alternative is a potential future franchise qb. Worst case scenario for this year is fitz gets hurt and Rosen sucks, then well be boring as **** but at least well have #1 pick

excited for the new regime change and chance they might be the right guys.. Flores gives me that hope..

The quest for my first championship in sports continues..always excited.

I gotta give some of you guys credit, to remain optimistic after years of mediocrity, and with no signs of that changing, you have to have some pretty thick skulls, or some major denial issues.

We are the worst team in the NFL and will be for quite some time. Especially if we draft Lose'a.

Ummmm, *NO* signs? Flores and staff have shown no signs of being an improvement over Gase. No signs of improvement in OL coaching or DC? No sign of improvement in conditioning or attempts to reduce penalties/mistakes? No sign of dumping poor players with big contracts or NOT signing 'splash' players - complaints fans have had for years? Note, the standard you proposed isn't 'evidence,' but 'signs.' I'm certain others can chime in with more signs, but those are a start.

Of course, denying any of those signs is, well, a denial issue. And I'll admit 'signs' don't 'prove' anything, but the theme here is reasons optimism and/or pessimism. I'll also admit I was somewhat optimistic with Fistpump. Seemed like a no nonsense smash-mouth guy. wrong. I was pessimistic from the beginning on Queasy. Gase? I doubted the QB whisperer rumors, but expected improvements in the O. Little did I know he would be the next in a line of inept OCs or bring in such talent as Burke. Thus, my optimism is jaded. Nonetheless, there ARE signs of improvement. BTW, I'm predicting 6-8 wins so I'm not blindly optimistic.

What are those signs? they havent even run a traning camp practice yet... Any *signs* you infer right now are just your brain making **** up...

All they did was officially start a rebuild by dumping everyone and accumulate picks for next season... This is the easy part of rebuilding, hell even Ireland pulled it off, remember "picks and money"? There havent been any opportunities to show *signs* of a proper rebuild yet, nevermind coaching staff evaluations. At least wait for a couple of training camp practices before you claim "upgrade" anywhere on this team.

Ummm, no. I gave a short list of signs. I'll grant you "signs" is a fuzzy term, but "signs," to me, are indications. And remember, I'm responding to "I gotta give some of you guys credit, to remain optimistic after years of mediocrity, and with no signs of that changing."
My position is there are signs (I noted) the mediocrity may not be around much longer. Many of those things fans have complained about for years (decades?) APPEAR to being addressed. Note also "signs" are not guarantees.

Those signs I noted have been advocated by many here, many writers, and by those who know the organization, so "your brain making **** up" is much too strong. Now, if you disagree with those signs I've noted, I can't debate that - it's all in the way we see the world. If you agree with all or some of those, you may call them what you want. I prefer "signs."
