Used to be I could count on the Dolphins to smash a team's collective teeth in.

Used to be this team had so much pride that they would never allow themselves to be trampled on a national stage.

I long for those days.

A punk like brady was made to pay for coming on the field. I think Ken O brian fits that description.

It infuriates me that this team and this organization has fallen to the point where stupid penalties, and coaching decisions, and personnel decisions and whatever else make me a fan of a 7 and 9 team.

The silver lining to me is Henne. Thanks Henne for growing up!

And Fasano and Hartline grew up too...

What happened to the days that players on the opposing team were treated like they just stole your mother's lives savings and tried to laugh in your face about it? Where's the pride Dolphins?

Its SO damn hard to be a Dolphin fan. Why couldn't I just be a Steeler or 49er or Saint or Charger fan?

Seriously? You created a thread for this when there's about 2 million other posts about the same feeling?

Yea. I do feel the same. But what you gonna do? Not be a fan. It will turn around one day. The Pats weren't always this good. Remember. The Jets weren't even thought of for long time. Remember. It's just the Dolphins turn I guess. Takes good coaching and I think everything falls in place.

I'm glad I like the Dolphins and not the Niners.

This regime is sucking the life out of me. I've never been so despondent for the phins opener in my life. Normally I would be going crazy hootin' and hollerin' if we march down the field on the opening drive but this game I just turned to my wife and calmly said "that was a good start".

I was actually way more pumped to see the Cowboys almost beat the Jets and more devastated that the Jets lucked out the victory than I was at the Dolphins loss. I dunno, I think having to wait until Monday and the fact that everybody and their dogs knew the Pats would spank us sucked some of the life out of me, but still, this regime has to go. Pronto.

I don't feel bad for the dolphins fans who have been around for about 10 years. I mean I discount their fandom but for those of us that have been onboard ever since the early days of Dan Marino and even worse, the guys who were around since the dominant teams of the 70's, its been a nasty bitter pill to swallow. Some will say we had success during the Marino years. Well, if you measure success by regular season wins and some playoff births, then ok. However, I measure success by the last time we hoisted the lombardi and well, we ALL should know the last time that happened. I wasn't born yet.....

I used to get much more upset when Miami lost. However for the past decade or so, I have found that it doesn't bother me nearly as much. Maybe I have become jaded and come to expect mediocrity in Miami. After all, they haven't shown me anything to believe otherwise. I don't believe in this F.O. and didn't when the quack Parcells was brought on board. I don't believe in Sparano either. Miami will always be an afterthought in the NFL until we get an owner that cares about the product FIRST before all the other crap that goes along with owning a sports franchise. Ross is Wayne H, all over again. Both had blank checkbooks and both so far haven't won squat.
