It is the players? or it is us?

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears have signed wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

A 13-year veteran who has played in Super Bowls with San Francisco and Carolina, Ginn caught 30 passes for 421 yards and two touchdowns with New Orleans last season. He has 409 receptions for 5,702 yards and 33 touchdowns in addition to 486 yards rushing on 68 carries for Miami (2007-09), San Francisco (2010-12), Arizona (2014), Carolina (2013, 2015-16) and New Orleans (2017-19).

Ginn also has returned 257 punts for 2,600 yards with four touchdowns and 307 kickoffs for 6,899 yards and three TDs. He is one of 10 players to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in the same game and in 2009 became the first to run back two for 100 yards in the same game.

Its easier as a QB when you boast the Leagues best RB.
When Marriota was playing Henry had very poor number getting under 4 yards a carry and breaking 100 I think once maybe twice. Under Tannehill his number improved to over 5 yards per carry and multiple 100 yards games. So to just say it was the RB is very misleading when the same RB was playing less then AVG under a different QB.

Might have to lay some money on the Bears making the playoffs this year. Ginn has made the playoffs with 5 different teams and seems to be there every year. The Bears could make it 6.

Thill was a better QB than many want to admit. Poor coaching and poor OL. That said, I've said for years, his problem was processing what he sees quickly enough. Tenn gave him the time to be effective. Some of it was Miami, some of it was Tenn. Still think he'll struggle with processing.
Tannehill's biggest problem was coaching.

Yes, his line was terrible. No doubt and no question, he had a terrible, terrible line most of his Miami tenure.

However, there are ways to still be effective when your line can't pass block, things like being able to audible, committing to the run game, screens, etc. Until Gase, Tannehill wasn't allowed to audible and the team never committed to the run game. So he had to combat the terrible line with literally ZERO options. Tannehill wasn't;t allowed to actually audible for awhile under Sherman, then under Lazor, he was only allowed to change the play direction. During this years, we also never committed to the run game. We were the bottom 5 in rushing attempts all those years until Gase....who also happened to let him audible.

It is not surprise that Tannehill started to flourish under Gase until he got injured. What we saw in Tennessee, is the real Tannehill playing to his full potential.

You can't repeatedly run your team like a training school for inexperienced head coaches and expect big things. I believe all the head coaches Miami has had that he previous head coaching experience have led the team to the playoffs and have winning records with the team, while each of the inexperienced head coaches the Miami his tried have compiled a losing record during their stint.

Experienced or not, no coach has done well here in decades.

JJ: experienced coach, underperformed.

Wanny: experienced coach, mediocre at best, awful at worst.

Saban: experienced coach, subpar results at best.

Cameron: inexperienced, disaster.

Sparano: inexperienced, not good after the first year.

Philbin: inexperienced, LOL

Gase: experienced, overrated, and sunk.

Of the names listed above, only Johnson and Wannstedt had NFL head coaching experience and they both had winning records in Miami with Johnson having 3 playoff appearances in 4 seasons and Wannstedt with 2 in 5 seasons. The coaches with no NFL head coaching experience each had a losing record, 92 and 117 with 2 playoff appearances in 14 seasons.

Think of it this way if there are 4 Starbucks in a small area and 3 of them either have steady long term management or keep hiring store managers with experience managing a Starbucks and the other store keeps hiring former assistantant managers or former leads with no experience managing it wouldn't be too hard to figure out which store has the better odds of not doing well. I'm not saying everyone in that situation will fail, but the odds are against them.
