It just hit me...

All throughout this week I had the feeling that I still couldn't believe we are in the position we are in and I have absolutely no idea what to expect for this game. All week I've been telling myself that no matter what that it's been an incredible season and we should be 100% happy about the season regardless of today's result.

But it just hit me this morning. I will be devastated if we lose. I mean wrecked. This team totally deserves the division title for how hard they have worked and the turnaround they have made. Hopefully we will win and later tonight I will come back and read this post and laugh at myself but as of right now I can't even imagine the prospect of losing.

I hear you, I think they've given themselves the opportunity to be truely special, but the game is played on the field, can they maintain that killer instinct in the 2nd half..so we hold down the Jets in the 1st half, enough to allow our 4th qtr surge to come on...in game one, we sowed the seeds of 4th quarter take over, I've like another 30+ outing like last week but also the D holding them to over 13 would be nice on top of that...but if it doesn't go our way, I'll still be happy with the team...
 
This is about way more than just the 2008 Dolphins. Good season and all but moral victories are thrown out the window today. This is for all the marbles against a lifelong enemy. Beat the freakin' Jets!!!!!!!!!!
 
I will be very sad and heartbroken if they lose today. With that said, I am just thrilled that we are in a this position in Week 17. I figured we would win maybe 6 wins at most and that Week 17, would just be another game and the last one until the offseason started. I am very happy that we actually enter Week 17 with playoff scenarios.

I really hope we win, it would mean everything to me if we could do it. If we lose, I will be sad, but that doesn't mean I am not still thrilled with what took place this season.
 
it is nice to have a chance to make the playoffs and losing today when we're so close would be horrible but more than the 10 wins,I'm happy that the team seems to be going in the right direction...we have some real good young talent and we have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds plus a lot of room under the cap,not to mention a fine coaching staff...the future seems bright but I want us to win today and play one more week.

Exactly, same way I am feeling. Been telling all my friends (they know I am Fin crazy) that I am just so happy to have had a great season compared to last season. However the more I think about it the more I think we cannot go out like this, not against the jets. I mean c'mon, our most hated rivals beat us to kill our season?

NO, NOT THIS TIME.
 
the painful/angering part of us losing is seeing the pats and their mother****ing fans celebrate another afce crown.

I was depressed for two or three days when we lost to the Jets in week one ... and that's coming off of 1-15 with modest expectations. If we lose today it will hurt a thousand times more than that!

As far as I'm concerned, this is our Super Bowl. Win today and we knock our hated rivals (both Jets and Pats) out of the playoffs, win the division crown and host a playoff game. This game is so beyond huge!!!
