Let that sink in... at 24-0 we absolutely were NOT going to come back and win this. Not in week 4 on the road to the Patriots in a game they were desperate to win.

It should have been 10-0 and the Patriots punting to us. The refs bailed them out with a REALLY bad illegal hands call on X and then the drive continued. One of the next few plays was the Cordelle Patterson TD taking it to 17-0 and then the fumbled snap which was a TD on the next play and it was 24-0.

That game was over at this point. This wasn't going to be won so I was 100% fine with them packing it in and not making any changes or adjustments. No need to put anything worthwhile on tape at this point in the game or season.

I'm not here to **** on the refs, or give the team a pass for the poor performance... but we're 3-1 after 4 weeks and it's more important to see how we do over the next 4 games then how we performed in our only loss of the season so far.

So you are fine with a quiter mentality... and you call yourself a fan. Wtf!

A lot of people on here would say to keep drinking the Kool-Aid....

A lot of people on here are more optimistic on this team than I am. I have called us going 6-10 or 7-9 for probably the last 3-4 years, including this year.

I'm not sitting here telling you I'm high on this team, I'm just trying to give a little perspective to a couple things I keep reading over and over. I personally did not expect us to be at 3-1 coming into week 5.

Well if you don't understand why the team packed it in as far as coaching adjustments after I literally just explained why then I don't know what to tell you.

It was over at 17-0

100% agreed... but the very next drive we had the bad fumble and then they ran it in on their very first play. At 17-0 it was over but they were still going to try and score... then 24-0 even the coaches were like "**** it".

The Patriots were able to take advantage of our mistakes we made in the previous 3 games, that's what the better teams do. Whenever we won and people made post saying there's still plenty of improvements to be made and other posters told them not to worry and just enjoy the win, this is why those so labeled negative posters were worried. You can get away with the mistakes we were making against lesser teams but the better teams will destroy you for it.

I doubt if that fits the new culture narrative Gase is implementing.

I think there was plenty of intelligent posters who were delighted by the first 3 wins who also said "I'm still not sure what we have here" - I know in VIP forums the feeling has been much more tempered. I don't think we know what we have yet other than a flawed squad that can win some games - how many, I'm not sure.

My post was just purely to respond to everyone who keeps saying "why didn't we make any adjustments??" - because it's better to lose 35-7 then to lose 35-21 and give away play designs that can help us win the next few games instead of lose this one more dignified. I don't give a **** about their dignity during the blow out. Win 3 out of the next 4 instead.

Lol. I'm going to refrain from responding to your posts anymore at the risk of looking simple.

This isn't about culture. This is about logic. You don't unleash your entire gameplan, new wrinkles, new plays, new defensive adjustments, etc etc in a game you are guaranteed to lose. Just my opinion (and probably the staffs too considering how vanilla they got).

Dide Brady quit down in the SB against ATL??? This is why we will always suck! Loser mentality!!! ****ing quiters!

Once that bad snap ended up in the hands of the Patriots that was it. I kind of agree not worth putting anything new on tape from that point. Game was over at half.

I still think this is at least a 9-7 team given the schedule, but with crucial injuries on OL I’m less optimistic about that.

That's fair.
It's also fair to say that we were the better team taking advantage in 3 out of the first 4. The way we lost leaves a sour taste in my mouth, but this team is not hopeless.
