How come no one has mentioned anything about eddie george?,unless im mistaken he is still a free agemt right and i think he would be the perfect backup to ronnie brown,he isnt that far removed from his great seasons,i still think he can play..i think atleast we should give him a look, but jmo..Go heat!!!

:shakeno:

because he's done...nothing left in the tank, nothing. A class act, I would have loved to have had in aqua and orange when there was something left, but alas, too late. Our coaches seem ok with who we have, why not trust them.

I don't know that he'd have anything to offer us at this stage of his career. Plus we've got more promising youths who I'd rather see get those reps.

oh i trust the coaches..defenitly saban, but it would never hurt to have good depth and your right he is done,,as a STARTER,thats where he went wrong in dallas he took a majority of the carries, but here in miami,he will be good for short yardage and give ronnie a breather,im not just saying flat out sign the guy,i just think we should atleast give him a look..he could suprise people.

Eddie George has been one of my all-time favorite non-Dolphin football players. A great player on the field and a great person off the field. But unfortunately, I think he's finished. I think the Dolphins will be okay with the running backs they have now.

Eddie George seems like he's a great guy but I think he's past it at this stage. I don't know if he could even cut it as second on the depth chart nowadays. I would like to see him to make a great comeback but I think it's only going to happen in the movies (Not that I think someone is likely to make a film with that plot).

I hear Ken Norton Jr and Mark Gastineau are available too. We could sure use some depth on our front 7. :D

Several years ago he was almost finished. It's official now.
:yeahthat:

I like Eddie as a person, but I never thought that he was much better than average even in his "prime". And he's way beyond that now.

Well do you guys know if he retired or not?..i just thought he was still a free agent,,if hes retired yea its a different story cuz that would mean hes probably not in top shape.

he's in "old" shape bro..it ain't happening.

I started a thread like this a while back. I would like to have Eddie but I want to see the rooks and what KJ has before getting carried away. Eddie said he is still working out and that he was waiting on a call. He will still be available if we don't like what we see. Hopefully.
