Its a beautiful thing.
I got up today and headed to my local Buffalo Wild Wings to catch the game. I was half wondering why I was going. I must enjoy paying to see my phins get beat. But they were my phins, I had to go.
After 10 minutes at my table I quickly realized that I was one of 3 Miami fans there. There were tons of Bears and NO fans there. Again I thought o myself, "I must enjoy punishment."
The bears fans were a lively bunch, hooting, hollering and clapping at every Bears play like good fans do. I could tell they were expecting a blow out.
By the 2nd quarter they were silent. A beautiful thing.
Every interception, Miami touch down, Ronnie Brown steam roller, great SP teams play etc etc... they sank deeper and deeper into their seats. A beautiful thing.
By the end of the third quarter most of them moved to the bar and sat looking at their drinks. A beautiful thing.
with four minutes to go. All the other early games had finished playing and the Miami/ bears game was on every tv in the joint. Anyone who wasn't paying attention now saw that the 1-6 phins just took out the 7-0 bears. 20+ televisions told 100+ people that Miami is not a walk over, we can be the team were supposed to be. Don't write us off. We just took out a titan.
