And Ross spent half the day at the facilities out in Davie and left without making any announcements or scheduling any imminent press conferences. I think it is pretty safe to assume that he has decided to retain the entire staff and give them one more swing at it. I surmise that he had a meeting with Joe and Jeff and gave them the opportunity to "sell him" on why they should get one more turn at bat. Evidently they conviced him.

To be honest, It sucks and I'm not happy about it but at the same token, I am not horrifyingly upset about it. We were literally 3-4 plays away from a 11-12 win seaon. It's feasible to see why he would give them one last swing of the bat.

Its feasable because of Ryan Tannehill in year 3.

otherwise, he probly would have fired Philbin on Monday with everyone else.

I'm saying this now, if Tannehill can somehow get his deep ball game to a NFL level he'll lead us to the playoffs.

Wallace will also become a pro bowler.

I wouldn't assume anything at this point. Lets see what happens.....I don't think Ireland or Sherman are out of the woods yet....

We were also literally 3-4 plays away from a 4-5 win season...

Hit wide open Wallace half the times he's missed and we have a pro bowl qb and WR with double digit wins and possibly a first round bye

Yep. Get more turnovers on defense coupled with this ^^^^^ and I would agree with you.

Yeah, and we were also literally 3-4 plays away from a 5-11 season. It works both ways.

Cam Wake doesnt make a historic play after an excellent punt by Brandon Fields against the Bengals, the Colts dont get called for a borderline penalty on a touchdown, Tom Brady completes a pass at the end of the game, and suddenly our season doesnt look to hot, does it?

you can go both ways, Ireland is every Dolphin fans #1 target -- we are all the best GM's in our head!
he has made some "bonehead" moves then a really good one.

Philbin needs to be more open to halftime changes and hold his team more accountable.
Sherman needs to be kept in check, give Ryan more freedom at the LOS, get more I form, single I, 2 TE sets in the games. the GO , GO - GO thing needs to end.
he does like to pass witch is awesome but we need to more balanced.
Coyle - he needs to explain what happen to the Top D ?? Why cant the rookies get on the field? why do you take Wake out so much, and where the HELL is #3 over all???

Philbin needs to under stand that he is the HEAD COACH, they do not will this year, he will be gone!

when your QB gets sacked 58 times, and your backup defense stops the Patriots...its obviously mostly the offensive lines fault we didn't make the playoffs. If anything, they need to go (except Pouncey and McKinnie).
