He gives us, the fans, 24 hours or so to mull over what life will be like with either Jim Mora Jr., recently fired head coach of the Atlanta Falcons or Chan Gailey, head coach of Georgia Tech-ex head coach of Dallas and ex Dolphins OC, and then after we have a chance to see just how little either inspires the fan base overall...................

BAAMMMMM!

The Miami Dolphins have their new head football coach and it's...........

Pete Carroll - Southern Cal

5 years / $ 30 million

Welcome to South Florida, Coach Carroll!

Our Hero! Thanks Pete!

Pete already had 2 shots in the NFL, he didn't fare too well in either campaign. That being said, I would probably take him over Chan Gailey or Jim Mora. How do these coaches keep getting chances after they fail time and time again? Is there not any promising young coordinators in this league that would merit a chance? These guys are the same old story.

Thanks for making me laugh, bro.

Huizenga says "No"

Not likely, Huizenga is pretty straight-laced and a move like that would require drugs and/or alcohol. I suspect Huizenga is going to go for a Melba-toast, safe-bet, no-fireworks kinda move after being left-at-the-altar by both Johnson and Saban. Huizenga wants some points on the board, fans in the seats, reporters in swoon, and someone he can control: that's Gailey. Unfortunately, I don't think Gailey will take us to the promised land.

This thread has "choke" written all over it!

 5 years/30 million. That's 6 million per year. What has he done in this level to receive that much eh? He would be in the Top 5-10 highest paid HC in the league, and earn more than Cowher/Belicheck?/Lovie Smith/Marvin Lewis, etc.
