It’s all up to Tua!

The kid is going to be fine. Playing that first year when he really wasn't supposed to, imo, will do him a world of good coming into his second year. In some ways, I'm happy he didn't have an unbelievable level of success. The reason for it sets up a trajectory like his first go at Dilfer's Elite 12 camp where apparently he wasn't crazy good. So what did he do? Go home and with his Dad's help and others worked his butt off and came back to that camp an absolute animal...That's the way the story is told.

Thus taking that as the model, i know he's working his butt off after what happened year 1 and i full expect him with the added weapons to be a much improved Qb.

In the orders of a former Jet..."Can't Wait!!"
I wish I could like a message more than once

Hmmm.......

I think it does matter. What good is one without the other? What's the alternative? Wait until we see if Tua is good, before building the team?

I do get your point that Tua taking a big step forward is key, but building the rest of the team isn't mutually exclusive, or optional.

If, parish the thought, Tua flames, the team will still be good enough to plug in another QB without another ground up rebuild.
I’m just saying Tampa had a talented team and went nowhere till Brady got there! We have a pretty talented team now, so I think there is going to be some pressure for Tua! I hope he can step up

He showed plenty of ability last season, considering the circumstances.

If the receiving talent being assembled - Fuller, Parker, Waddle, Williams, and Wilson as the top-5 WRs, Gesicki, Long - remains healthy and the young offensive line with 3 first or second round picks develops, its going to feel like an entirely new world for Tua.

We are finally putting together the kind of weaponry that will cause opposing DCs fits.

Reporter to Waddle: "Jaylen, how can you make Tua better?"

Waddle: "Make him better? I don't know if that's a thing or anything. I feel that it goes both ways. He's going to make me better. I'm going to make him better. We're going to push each other and try and get better each and every day. "

Elite defense/mediocre qb > elite qb/mediocre defense change my mind

Hard to take over games when your throwing to Hollins, Ford and Perry.
And when you have the defense in your backfield so quickly!

The additions on the offensive line and at wide receiver will obviously help tremendously. Teams will have to respect the speed of Waddle and Fuller.

We had a QB who had the ability to take over a game back in the day. My opinion is that one player can only do so much without help. If it doesn't matter how talented the team is Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and the corpse of Broncos Peyton Manning would not have won a SB.
Your examples are exceptions to the rule. A trick often use in debate. Like i said man is stronger than woman, and you counter with you know a woman body builder stronger than you....it doesn't fly.

You can have a great QB like Marino but still get no ring due to a subpar cast surrounding him. But you can have talents all around, still can't win a ring without a good QB. However, with a good QB, you can win SB with above average cast. Look at Brady in his NE years.

We are one Jalen Waddle injury away from being in the same situation we were last year at WR and RB and returner. This team did not improve enough
Dude, even without Fuller, Waddle, and Wilson returning, everybody in the WR corps. and RB corps. were injured last season.

Many all at the same time.
